HEALING Principles The following information on healing is meant as a guideline and summary of aspects of healing. God desires for us to seek Him, fellowship with Him, praise and worship Him. Invest time in the Bible and prayer. Look up and mark healing scriptures, seek God and His direction by the Holy Spirit. Don t look for a quick fix and then ignore the Lord. Ask, Believe, (by faith) Receive and Praise continually. Do not ask the same thing over and over again. The spirit man is the real man. Command your body and your organs to function correctly and line up with God s Word. Don t be snared by the words of your mouth, speak health and well-being and a good report. It's God's will for His children to be healed live in health. John 10:10 The thief (the Devil) cometh not, but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I (Jesus) am come that they might have life and they might have it more abundantly. Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him. Isaiah 53:5 - and with his stripes we are healed. Healing is part and parcel with salvation. Recognize the source of your opposition (the devil) John 10:10 devil comes to kill, steal and destroy Luke 13:16 Jesus said, Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound lo these fourteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?
Peter 5:8.Your adversary, the devil, is as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour Recognize (and exercise) your AUTHORITY as a child of God. Although the devil can hinder you, he can only be successful in giving you sickness and disease if you ALLOW HIM by accepting the package he is attempting to deliver. (Refuse symptoms and sickness offered by the enemy.) What God has for his children (those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior) which include: salvation, (eternal spiritual life), healing, prosperity, deliverance, the Name of Jesus (power of attorney) and more. These benefits are likened to a financial inheritance that is rightfully yours, but you cannot derive the benefit of it if: You don t know about it You don t receive it Before Jesus ascended to heaven, he transferred part of his authority to his BODY of believers, the Church. Matthew 28:19 and Mark 16:15 are accounts of what is called the Great Commission. Jesus said, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Mark 16:16: All these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name, they shall cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues ; Mark 16:17: they shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. James 4:7 - Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (This implies you have the authority to do so, and is very definite.) Ephesians 4:27 Neither give place to the devil. Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you; for ye are not under the law, but under grace.. (In the bible, sin is synonymous with Satan, so this could read Satan shall not have dominion over you.) Its scriptural to lay hands on the sick, and expect healing. James 5:14 - Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Name of the Lord. James 5:15 And the prayer of Faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up.... Mark 16:15 Jesus said....lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. STAND on scriptures that support your case. Isaiah 53: 4-5 Surely he hath bourn our griefs...... and by his stripes we ARE healed. 1Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins; should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye WERE healed.
Matthew 8:16 When the evening was come, they brought to him many that were possessed with devils; and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick. Matthew 8:17 That is might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaisas the prophet saying, Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. RECEIVE Jesus as your Healer.. We are taught to receive Jesus as our Savior but Jesus paid the penalty for our sins and sicknesses. Receive Jesus as your Healer and RECEIVE healing and divine health Exercise FAITH In the ministry of Jesus, those that were healed had FAITH. Matthew 9:22 the woman with the issue of blood:.....daughter be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. Mark 5:14 Jairus s daughter:.....daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole, go in peace and be whole of thy plague. Mark 6:5-6 is an example where Jesus himself could not help the people because of their lack of faith Mark 6:5 and he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid hands on a few sick folk and healed them. Mark 6:6 And he marveled at their unbelief (lack of Faith) Exercise Right Thinking and Right Talking
James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity; so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and set on fire the course of nature, and it is set on fire of hell. (If you speak doubt and unbelief, you (1) bind the ANGELS which are assigned to protect you and (2) loose the evil spirits (demons) that can hinder you. Proverbs 6:2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken captive by the words of thy mouth. Effective Prayer for Healing Pray to the Father in the name of Jesus John 15:16 Jesus said......whatsoever you ask of the Father in my name, he may give it. Ask God for what you want Thank him for it by FAITH Do not deny symptoms, but stand on God s Word Every day, thank God for healing you. (before and after the physical manifestation of the healing has taken place) Continue to thank God for your healing after the healing has taken place. This is one of the keys to keeping your healing. Be guided by the Holy Ghost on exactly what to do. God uses medical doctors to treat and participate in the healing process. " Do what you can do in the natural and God will do the rest." (My wife was in the hospital and they gave her a 4%-6% chance of survival. She needed the medical procedures in combination with a miracle. I did not accept the doctors report- I will believe the report of the Lord. I am not moved by what I see, I am moved by what I know which is the Word of God. In prayer quote Gods Word to Him with reverence and HE will respond.) Do not let
others speak a bad report over your sick loved ones especially relatives. Unforgiveness can be a roadblock to receiving healing. Clean house by forgiving those dead or alive, it will set YOU free. It's not important that they ask for forgiveness or deserve it. HEALING SUMMARY We want results and need to do the correct thing for the circumstances. 1. It's God s will for us to live in divine health 2. The devil is the source of our opposition 3. We have the authority over the devil and evil spirits in our life (sphere of influence) 4. Laying on of hands and anointing with oil is scriptural 5. Find scriptures that support what you are praying for 6. Receive Jesus as your HEALER 7. Exercise FAITH not doubt 8. Be careful what you say with your mouth 9. Effectual Prayer for healing 10. Be led by the Holy Spirit of God 11. Anoint the sick with oil and lay hands and pray 12. Don't put God in a box and expect Him to do it your way. His ways and His timing is pefect.
