****************************************************** KOLBE PRISON RETREAT The Kolbe Retreat that recently occurred at the Briscoe Prison Unit in Dilley, Texas was hosted by the Knights of Columbus Council 7613. Our Council 7613 provides this effort in support of the St. Mark s Criminal Justice Ministry engagement with the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). The retreat takes place over three full days and requires a small army of God s men to bring the retreat to the prison. With God s grace, and giving everything up to the Holy Spirit, the days were centered on bringing our Catholic faith to 200 prisoners through our expression of belief that they will someday soon will be released and accepted into our society as good and faithful men. Significant assistance also came from a number of incarcerated men who are currently becoming practicing Catholics. We are extremely blessed to have such a strong and spiritual group of men as shown below that can come together to serve and share our gifts with those who have been stripped of everything in this world. We witnessed those that have so little, being filled with the Holy Spirit to the point of making profound changes in their lives. SK Richard Lee & Brother Arnold L.
