Ascend the mountains of Jerusalem from Scopus to Mt. of Olives for an outstanding breathtaking view of the city across the Kidron Valley to the Eastern Gate; see Chapel of Ascension, Pater Noster and Dominus Flevit. Walk down Palm Sunday Road and visit the Garden of Gethsemane, cross Mount Moriah viewing the Tombs of Absalom, St. James and Zacharia. Continue to the southern suburbs of Jerusalem toward Bethlehem, visit Shepherd's Field, Church of the Nativity; lunch at Bethlehem. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Jerusalem. April 10 Tuesday: City of David / Southern Steps / Cardo / Pool of Bethesda / Praetorium / Fortres of Antonia / View of Temple Mount / Western Wall / Via Dolorosa / Travel around the temple pinnacle to the City of David and on to the house of Caiaphas at Saint Peter in Gallicantu. Continue to Mount Zion, the Upper Room and Tomb of King David. Enter the Old City through St. Stephen's Gate; Visit the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus cured an invalid man; continue to the Praetorium, site of the public trial of Christ and his condemnation, and view its ancient remains in the Fortress of Antonia, seat of the Roman Procurator; proceed to the Temple Mount to view the Mosque of Omar and visit the Western Wall, a sacred site for the Jewish People. Continue through the picturesque market streets past the Citadel of David and exit through the Jaffa Gate, passing the Stations of the Cross along the Via Dolorosa and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher along the way.

April 11 Wednesday: Israel Museum/ Scale Model of Biblical Jerusalem / Dead Sea Scrolls/ Yad Va'Shem/ Valley of Elah New part of Jerusalem and visit the Israel Museum where there is a scale model of the City of Jerusalem from the New Testament times, including the Second Temple. Also at the Museum visit the Dead Sea Scrolls, housed in a unique construction. Continue via the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) to Yad Va'Shem, the memorial to the Holocaust and the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis. From there we drive to Valley of Elah, where David killed Goliath and the Israelites defeated the Phillistine Army. We stop at the exact spot. Return to Jerusalem to our hotel for dinner and overnight. April 12 Thursday: Western Wall Tunnels / more of the Old City / Garden Tomb We will visit the famous Rabbi's Tunnel, running along the base of the Western Wall. We will walk through additional sites we missed and late afternoon we'll continue for a quiet prayer at the Garden Tomb and a free time in the city. If desired we can visit the new FOZ museum (friend of Zion), which presents a technologically advanced, interactive experience that tells the story of the dream of restoration of the Jewish people to their historic homeland and the brave non-jews who assisted them in realization of that dream. Dinner and o/n at your hotel in Jerusalem. April 13 Friday: Transfer to Allenby Bridge for crossing over to Jordan and meet with local guide visiting Madaba ant Mt. Nebo. Continue to Amman for Dinner and o/n. April 14 Saturday: Petra Drive to the exciting site of Petra in Jordan, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We'll spend the entire day there, including lunch, exploring this magnificent Biblical-times site the city that is carved in the red rock. Dinner and o/n at Petra hotel. April 15 Sunday: King Solomon's Mines / Dead Sea Crossing back to Israel at its Southern border in Eilat, visit King Solomon s Mines and continue to the Dead Sea. Dinner and o/n at a Dead Sea hotel. April 16 Monday: Massada / Ein Gedi / Qumeran / Beith Shean / Tiberias Early morning visit to the mighty fortress of Massada, last stronghold and stand of the zealots against Rome, on the edge of the barren Negev Desert. Massada is a symbol of courage and perseverance for the Jewish People, where 960 Jewish defenders organized their last resistance to the Roman conquerors, and took their own lives rather than surrender to slavery. On to Ein Gedi, David's hideout from Saul, visit the ancient caves of Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Continue north to Ein Feshcha, viewing across the saltiest and lowest sea in the world; passing by the fortress where John the Baptist was beheaded. We proceed through the city of Beit Shean (you may need to give up Ein Gedi and Qumran to make it to Beit Shean this can be decided on spot) - one of the earliest and most important cities in ancient Israel from the time of the Canaanites; Arrival at Tiberias. Dinner and o/n at a Tiberias hotel. April 17 Tuesday: Sea of Galilee / Jesus Boat / Mt. of Beatitudes / Tabgha / Capernaum / Yardenit Baptism Today we rise early and board our boat for a cruise and prayer on the Sea of Galilee and visit Jesus Boat. The group will proceed to pray together on the Mt. of Beatitudes, the homes of the disciples James, Simon, John and Andrew. Nearby Jesus gave Beatitudes and taught in the synagogue on many occasions, performing many miracles. We then visit Tabgha, where Jesus had given food to 5,000 people by performing the miracle of the multiplication of fish and loaves. Visit at Capernaum and end a magnificent day visiting Yardenit, the traditional baptismal site on the Jordan River. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight. April 18 Wednesday: Golan Heights / Kursi / Korazin / Tel Dan / Caesarea Phillipi / Tiberias
We take the road through the Golan Heights where we will hear the explanations of the strategic and political significance of this area. On the Golan Heights we will visit Caesarea Phillipi at Banias, which is the Site of the Transfiguration; continue to Tel Dan Nature Reserve, source of the Dan River leading into the Jordan and containing the remains of an ancient city from the period of the First Temple believed to be the center of the Dan tribe; pass Korazin, where there are remains of a 1 st century synagogue similar to Capernaum (those last three are the ones that were cursed and were indeed totally destroyed in an earthquake in 742 C.E.); return to the Sea of Galilee area where much of the Galilean Ministry took place. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight. April 19 Thursday: Nazareth / Megiddo / Mt. Carmel We leave for Nazareth, where Jesus spent his years in silence. Continue to Megiddo, site of Armageddon, then to Mount Carmel where Elijah issued his challenge to the False Prophets. Arrive at Hadera Ramada Hotel for dinner and overnight. April 20 Friday: Caesarea / Tel Aviv Independence Hall / Jaffa / Farewell dinner We leave for Caesarea, to visit the Crusader Fortress built upon the ancient city of Caesarea, named after Augustus Caesar, who imposed the tax that forced Mary and Joseph to run away to Bethlehem. Here we will visit a beautiful exemplar of the Roman Amphitheatre, where the group can experience the acoustics of a structure built in the days of Christ. We continue to Tel Aviv to visit the Independence Hall where the declaration of the State of Israel took place in May 1948. We end our tour in Jaffa, with a farewell dinner. Transfer to the airport for a late night departure. April 21 Saturday: arrive home at noon.

Payment and Due Dates If you would like to go on the trip, we are limited to 45 passengers. This will ensure that we are comfortable on a single motor coach. To be considered for the tour, your initial deposit will need to be paid. Checks can be written to The Worship Place. Note that the cost of insurance is included in the first payment. If you wish not to purchase insurance, the amount for it will be put toward the balance due of your tour cost. If the tour fills up, other interested parties will be put on a waiting list (first come first served). In the event someone drops out, the next person on the waiting list would be able to fill that slot. Schedule of Payments Deposit The initial deposit of $500 will secure a spot on the trip for a person. Your spot is not secure unless the deposit is paid. This $500 includes the following $150 to secure your flight. (refundable up to 100 days prior to the flight) $319 for travel insurance (explained in this document) $31 that goes toward your balance due for the tour. Payment Schedule This is broken down by the number of people going on the tour, and is based upon the trip costs outlined in the Your Cost part of this document. Insurance Information We have chosen a group plan through a company that works closely with the travel company we are working with. Here is an outline of what the travel insurance covers. The price for the policy is based upon the cost of the trip and is $319 per person. It is also due with deposit, as we have to secure it before installments are made by the person who is being insured.
