Filipino Apostolate Mass The Filipino Apostolate Malden Chapter celebrates Mass in this Parish every second Sunday of the month at 1:00 PM. Following the Mass, there is a pot luck lunch in the hall. Community Blood Drive St. Joseph Parish Community Blood Drive will be held on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM in the parish hall. There were 50 donors and 44 units collected at the September 16th blood drive. Christmas Wreath Sale One week-end only St. Joseph Parish Cub Scout Pack 609 will have its Christmas Wreath sale this year on the weekend of December 7th and 8th before and after all Masses. The wreaths will be sold in the parking lot and will cost $14.00. Game & Movie Night Game & Movie Night on Friday, November 22nd in the hall from 6:00 8:00 PM. For students in grades 5 and 6. Altar Flowers If you would like flowers on the altar in memory of a loved one, please call the Parish Office 781-324-0402. MALDEN Annual Turkey Rama The 8th Annual Turkey Rama will be held in the parish hall on Saturday, November 23rd. There will be a spaghetti supper from 5:00-6:00 PM followed by the raffles at 6:15 PM. Door admission is $1.00. Come on down and have an evening of fun with your friends and fellow parishioners by taking chances to win your turkey dinner plus many other raffle items. Christmas Concert The Christmas Season is such a joyous one, filled with laughter, giving, and carols. We welcome the birth of our Lord with joyful songs of praise. On December 22, St. Joseph Parish adult and children s choirs will be having a Christmas concert; and we would love to have you join us. Our rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:15 PM and for your convenience I am adding a few more immediately following the 10:30 AM Mass on Sundays, November 24, December 1 and December 15. Many thanks, Jeanne Dyjak, Music Director Giving Tree Watch for the Giving Tree which will be in the foyer on Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1. Each ornament on the Giving Tree will contain the Christmas wish of a resident of Tewksbury Hospital, a state hospital that offers treatment, care and comfort to adults with chronic medical and mental illnesses. This year, St. Joseph Church has pledged to provide 125 Christmas gifts for the residents. If you take an ornament, please return it with the gift requested so that no one will be left out. Mark these dates: Nov. 30 Dec 1 Take home a Giving Tree ornament Dec 7 8 Return ornament with unwrapped gift Because Thanksgiving is late this year, we have less time than usual to get the gifts to Tewksbury. We will deliver late arriving gifts, but please try to bring all gifts on the weekend of Dec 7 8. Whatever you did for one of the least brothers of mine, you did for me. (Matt 25:40) Religious Education/Youth Ministry Toys For Tots Drive From November 1 st through December 13th, St. Joseph Religious Education Program and the Youth Ministry will be holding a Toys for Tots drive. The Toys for Tots program is run by the United States Marines. They collect donations in order to give less fortunate children something for Christmas. Their presence gives the children hope, joy, and motivation. Please help by donating a new, unwrapped toy for a child of any age. Donation boxes will be placed in the foyer and at the Religious Education office, on Saturday s, when there is class.

Advent Scripture Study The Saint Joseph Parish Spiritual Development Advisory Board will present its Advent Scripture Study on Thursday, December 5 and Thursday, December 12, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM in the Conference Room. Light refreshments will be served. Saint Joseph Parish Reconciliation Service Sunday- December 8, 2013 at 7PM The Spiritual Development Advisory Board invites all to our Advent Reconciliation Service on Sunday evening December 8, 2013 at 7:00 PM. This is an opportunity to prepare spiritually for the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day with prayer, song, scripture and time for reflection. All are welcome. Sad to say the place I take the donations to has to close, because it cost too much to send out the boxes. At the end of November, it will stop taking donations. Cheverus School Annual Craft Fair The Cheverus School Annual Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, November 23rd from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM in Cheverus School, Monsignor Foley Hall, Malden MA. Over 30 local crafters, artists and specialty vendors will be at the Craft Fair. Also available are holiday wreaths from Wilson Farms, food and beverages on site, free admission, free parking. This tradition of many persons from any Malden churches singing together began in 1943 and was then sponsored by the Malden Clergy Association. At some point the sponsorship passed to the Malden Council of Churches, and when that council dissolved, The First Baptist Church became the sponsor.
