Notes to Contributors Tinta Artikulasi Membina Ummah (TAMU) The TINTA ARTIKULASI MEMBINA UMMAH (TAMU) is an internationally refereed online journal (eissn 2289-960X) published by the PIMM Experts SDN BHD. The mission of TAMU is to encourage scholarly research in Islamic education. The Journal provides a unique peer-reviewed forum to postgraduate students, scholars, professors, and researchers in various topics within Islamic education. The Journal welcomes research papers as well as review articles and conference reports. TAMU will be published in June and December annually. TAMU will publish empirical and theoretical papers (e.g. a critical review of research). The Journal has an international advisory board. The international perspective is also reflected by the journal s quadrilingual approach: TAMU welcomes papers in English, Arabic, Malay and Indonesia. Article Preparation: All manuscripts and editorial communications should be sent to the journal s Chief Editor and manuscripts should not exceed 5000 words. Manuscripts should be single spaced using AGaramond LT font size 12. On the front page of the article is 200 words English abstract together with the name(s) of author(s) and affiliation as well as address and email for correspondence. The article should also have not been published previously. Presentation: The editors place great emphasis on a clear written style expressing a well-structured presentation of ideas. Main headings should be typed in capitals and subheadings in lower case. Footnotes should be avoided. When an author s name appears in the text, the date should follow in brackets, e.g. Ahmad (2000), or where there is a reference to a particular page or quotation, e.g. Ahmad (2000: 37). References should be placed in alphabetical order at the end of the paper and should be in Roman script. The APA conventions should be observed. Refereeing Procedure: At least two expert referees as well as an editor will review each manuscript. The refereeing process takes up to a month from the date of receipt of the article from the author. The final decision regarding acceptance of the paper remains with the editorial board of the TAMU. Article Submission: The processing fee for publication of original papers and reviews in this journal is USD 100.00.
