Story: Birth of Jesus (Luke 2:1-7) Joseph and Mary traveled one day-- To Bethlehem so far away. (#1) They were so tired at the end of the day; They needed a place to eat and to stay. They knocked and knocked upon the doors; (#2) But, everyone said, No room for more. They found a place where animals stay; (#3) And, there they made a bed of hay. Story Jesus quiets the storm (Mark 4:35-41) Jesus told His friends, It s been a busy day. Let s go for a boat ride; I need to get away. (#1) Jesus was so tired; He quickly fell asleep. The little boat rocked up and down as His friends their watch did keep. (#2) Dark clouds filled the sky. The wind began to blow. Lightning flashed; thunder crashed; the boat bounced to and fro. (#3) Jesus friends were scared. They woke up Jesus and said. Jesus, help us quickly; or we ll all be dead. (#4) Jesus stood and said, Lightning! Thunder! Stop! Wind, you stop, too! Friends, do not fear; I ll always be with you. (#5) Jesus saved His friends and He will help us, too. He s our friend and Savior. There s nothing He can t do. (#6) Judy E.
