How can your church change the world? One child at a time. Through Convoy of Hope s One Day to Feed the World, your church will feed children many who would otherwise go hungry. The nutritious meals we feed children open the door to share the love of Jesus with children in 10 nations. Today, there are nearly 150,000 children in our feeding initiative. One Day is Supported Convoy of Hope has transformed the way our church views and participates in missions. When I was invited to be a part of a pastors trip to Haiti, I saw the impact that Convoy was making and I knew that this was a ministry to partner with. Soon after, we participated in Convoy of Hope s One Day to Feed the World and challenged our congregation to give one day s wage for the poor and suffering. One Day is simple. By participating in Convoy of Hope s One Day to Feed the World, you re telling the world that you aren t content to just feel compassionate, you re bent on living compassionately. One of the best ways to do that is to give One Day! So what does that look like? Figure out what you make each work day and give that amount as your One Day to Feed the World offering. Convoy of Hope s One Day to Feed the World is about equal sacrifice, not equal giving. What does that mean? No matter how much you make, you re going to play a significant role in transforming people s lives. Work One Day Give One Day 5

One Day Is Biblical. You extend kindness not only to others but also to the Lord. Matthew 25:40 You provide families with food, as well as clean and safe drinking water. Matthew 25:35 Local farmers are taught how to produce more food to feed more families. 2 Corinthians 9:10 It opens your eyes to the genuine needs of people and gives you a tangible way to be part of the solution. We ll Call Him Victorious Southeastern Slope of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania Despite being nervous and filled with emotion that threatened to spill from his eyes, he pressed on and shared his story one you made possible so that other children and families will be fed. Yes, he said, there had been countless days without food. Yes, his father had abandoned the family. Yes, his mother soon followed suit, saying she was too brokenhearted to carry on as the head of household. Yes, he had been kicked out of numerous schools once they learned he could not pay the fees. Yes, he had spent countless days scavenging for food on an empty stomach. And yes, his parents decisions to leave had hurt him badly. The saddest day of my life was the day I found out my father left us, he said, his voice finally cracking and the tears breaching their lids. I thought my father had just traveled somewhere for work, but he left us. I felt so much sorrow in my heart... Victorious paused, unable to talk now, and wiped the warm tears running down his face. 9

I didn t want to live with bitterness, he managed to say, so I went to God and prayed. He paused again, this time longer than before. Even today, I don t have any anger toward my father or mother. His story is one of nearly 150,000 as represented by each child enrolled in our Children s Feeding Initiative many of those supported by friends like you, who give one day s wage through One Day to Feed the World.
