LARGE GROUP. Treasure Hunt! Lesson 2 June 17/18 1

Transcription:

The Monthly Newsletter of The Central Florida Metal Detecting Club From The President s Desk By Alan James December is here and Central Florida Metal Detecting Club soon marks another milestone. In 2017, the club will have been in continuous operation for 45 years! A small group of about six local hobbyists got together and established the CFMDC in 1972. From this humble beginning, our club has grown to one of the largest and most active organizations in the entire country. Well done CFMDC and thank you to those who got the ball rolling back in 1972. December 2016 THERE WILL BE NO FINDS TABLE DURING THE DECEMBER MEETING so don t bring your finds to this meeting. Keep them for the January meeting. In November the CFMDC was tasked by the Volusia County Sheriff s Dept with searching for evidence in another shooting. Shell casing from the SWAT team were recovered and placed into evidence. Thanks to all who participated. There will be no organized club hunt in December. The next club hunt will be the Member s Appreciation Hunt which will be held in January. Only paid CFMDC members are invited to participate in this hunt so get your dues paid ASAP. Enjoy your Christmas this year and the entire Holiday season. The December meeting will include a quick business meeting, election of club officers, the club Christmas party and lots of great food! Everyone, including guests, is welcome to join in the festivities. Please remember to bring a side dish or desert to share with the group. The club will provide meat, mashed potatoes, and drinks. In addition, if you want to participate in the gift exchange, bring a wrapped gift suitable for anyone/everyone. The cost of the gift should be approx $10. Tickets will be drawn to establish the order of when you receive your gift, but because of the size of our club, we will not be trading gifts throughout the evening. This will allow for much more interaction between all of the members and guests..and more time for seconds at the dinner table. I ll see you at the next meeting. Alan
