MATTHEW Chapter 13 Note: The number of the question is the actual verse number 1a When were great multitudes gathered to Jesus? On the same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea 2 When Jesus started speaking, where was He, and where was the multitude? He sat in a boat, they stood on the shore 3a How did Jesus speak to the great multitude? in parables 3b Behold, a went out to sow. sower 4-8 How many types of ground are mentioned in this parable? four 4-8 Name the 4 types of soil in the parable. 1) the wayside, 2) stony places, 3) among thorns, 4) good ground 4 What happened to the seed that fell by the wayside? the birds came and devoured them 5a What was the problem with the stony places? they did not have much earth 5b What immediately happened to the seed that fell on stony places? they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth 6a What happened to the seed on stony places when the sun was up? they were scorched 6b Why is it that the shoots from the seed on stony places withered away? because they had no root 7 What happened to the seed that fell among the thorns? the thorns sprang up and choked them 8a What did the seed that fell on good ground yield? a crop 8b What 3 different amounts of crops did the good ground seed produce? 1) some a hundred fold, 2) some sixty, 3) some thirty 9 To whom did Jesus say, let him hear?
