The Brow chakra The Brow chakra often called the Third eye is attributed to the pituitary gland (which is called the Master gland). The pituitary gland affects all other glands in the endocrine system by releasing regulated hormones and neuropeptides. The released hormones control the endocrine glands such as the thyroid gland, adrenal glands, the kidneys and the ovaries. The effects of the Brow chakra are powerful on the body as this will determine how we process from food to emotions, therefore it is important that all chakras are balanced as much as possible for wellbeing. A balanced sixth chakra enables one to live a peaceful life. One is able to meditate easy and have extra sensory perception this is the chakra that many psychics use. This is the place where one can actually read, see Auras or have visions as this is the gateway to the higher consciousness.
An Overactive Throat Chakra characteristics The characteristics of an overdeveloped chakra are spending too much time in the head intellectualising a problem. There can also an over association with spiritual issues that are not grounded in reality. Opening the third eye too quickly through drugs, and un aided intense spiritual practices can create a Kundalini awakening. The Kundalini awakening can create a psychotic breakdown leading to mental illness. This is also the place where one can become over connected with the vastness of the universe and find it very hard to come back to reality thus they could become addicted to the spacey feeling that meditation may bring and in turn avoid contact with the outside world. An Underactive Throat Chakra characteristics The characteristics of an underactive Throat chakra are; having no real direction, being depressed and confused. There may also be very little association with inner wisdom and the individual may just want facts instead of going within. Balancing your Brow Chakra Mindful mediation, Visualisation, and working with a dream work. Creating a dream diary, reading texts based on compassion and wisdom opens the heart and the throat chakra, Reiki, Indian Head Massage, and The Mantra OM (Please see accompanying video for more suggestions).
