Proverbs 18:21: Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Reason Regard Redeem Deuteronomy 30:15 - See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; Deuteronomy 30:19 - I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Choose Life: While the choice belonged to Israel, God cared about wha they chose. God is concerned about what you choose
Deliverance Defined Choices can impact the deliverance process, the pace of receiving deliverance, and the power of the Spirit of God
Serves as a reminder and an encouragement of all that has been given and provided to us by our loving Father To Reveal all what can be lost through the efforts of an enemy that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy To provide for biblical principles to assist us in incorporating and reconnecting with the things that God desires us to have
Genesis 1:31 - And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. What is Good: pleasant, agreeable (to the senses) and to a higher nature (God) good, right, ethical a good thing, benefit, welfare moral good Man was included in that blessed work which makes God s creation of Man a good work Psalms 139:14: I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Philippians 3:12 - I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection! But I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ Jesus saved me for and wants me to be. Paul is saying three things He is pursuing perfection He has reached perfection yet He will eventually attain perfection
The definition of perfection means lacking nothing essential to the whole; complete of its nature or kind To be perfect is to be finished, fully formed, complete, thoroughly furnished, and entire, without blemish and wanting nothing. Greek words teleios, teleiosis, teleioo, epiteleo Meaning: "to perfect, finish, complete; perfect, mature Essence of our Perfection: Character, Lifestyle, Way of Thinking, Submission, Relationship with the Father
Positional We are made perfect in Him Through the Work of Christ Colossians 1:28: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Practical Through the process of sanctification, we are being perfected and made more into the image of Christ (1 st Peter 5:10) Prophetic- Becoming perfect in the future and at Christ s coming. Ephesians 4:13: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
We were created in the very image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26, "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness..."), but because sin entered the world, we no longer had an image that reflects God's image. However, God didn't give up on us... He sent His son Jesus to pay the price for our release from sin and its consequences (Matthew 20:28; 1 Timothy 2:6), and be conformed to God s image once again through the Son Romans 8:29, "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren."
Hebrews 13:20,21: Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Paul prayed that God would fully endow them with whatever grace was necessary to do his will and to keep his commandments Perfection is the work of the Spirit and its purpose is to make us complete for every good work Jesus was perfected in his earthly walk on earth Luke 2:52 - And Jesus increased in wisdom (in broad and full understanding) and in stature and years, and in favor with God and man.
1 st Peter 5:10: After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts His blessing and favor], who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be]. The sculptor can't mold until the clay is in His hands. Staying on the wheel is also important until the shape of the desired product is complete Perfection comes as we are submitted to the Sculptor. God is faithful to do the work in you
Matthew 5:48 - Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Perfect in the Greek means: consummate human integrity and virtue; completeness, mature Jesus, having just explained how the Father is "perfect," and instructing God's people to behave similarly Perfection comes as we begin to behave like God 2 Timothy 3:17 - That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. Perfection or being perfected brings us to a place where we can be used by God to perform good works Artios - "special aptitude for given uses"
Well, Nobody s Perfect Some people don t seek to submit to God s principle and process of perfection because they want to believe that it can t be done, so it allows for them to do evil. A lot of Christianity today is about being a lesser standard of a Christian Some tend to settle for the lesser evil; Forgetting that we are made in the image and likeness of God God doesn t see us as imperfect, so why should we?
People say this because most of the time, they are looking at the imperfect lives of others and using the weaknesses of others to excuse some sin or issue in their own life. Philippians 3:12: Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been perfected, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. The Work of Christ bringing us to salvation is a perfect work, but it is not over. It is now the work of the Spirit that accomplishes perfection in us daily, by teaching, encouraging, guiding, infilling, and empowering.
ON BEING UNWILLING TO DEVELOP TRUE FRIENDSHIPS WITH NON-CHRISTIANS Don t Allow the World to Make You a Lesser Standard of Christian Through Compromise and Seduction ON BEING SELF-CENTERED AND JUDGMENTAL ON BEING SELFISH, NOT REALLY INTERESTED IN OTHERS
The Bible Does Say Avoid Corrupt & Evil Associations 1 Corinthians 15:33 - Don't be fooled by those who say such things, for "bad company corrupts good character." What s Wrong With Fellowshipping With One Another? Hebrews 10:25 - Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. What the World Call Self-Centered and Judgmental is Just Being God Centered and Desiring to Please God Psalms 1:1-3: Oh the joy of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. 2 But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. 3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
ON BEING SELF-CENTERED AND JUDGMENTAL Ephesians 5: 11: And do not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even expose them. Christianity is not always about Attitude, but Also Obedience Why Should I Assume a Lesser Standard of Spiritual Perfection Just to Please This World? Galatians 1:10: Obviously, I'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ's servant.
No Apology, but Apologetics Realize Who You Are Colossians 2:10: and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
People today have little respect for a Mighty God because we have replaced the Mighty God of the Bible with a friendly god we can pet and play with I Reflect the Character of the One Who Created Me. Each Day as I Reflect His Perfection in Me, I Bring Glory to His Name.
Paul exhorted the believers in Philippi Philippians 1:6: Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Perfection is a process of maturity That is why many say that we are being perfected You are perfectly and wondrously made: Psalms 139:14: I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
