It is specifically designed for newcomers to our church family: either those who have recently joined the membership of the congregation or those who are considering joining. It would also be a great class for people who have been a part of the church for some time but who have not joined a Sunday school class. The Head-Heart-Hand Class will last 11 weeks, beginning on September 8th and concluding on November 24th. The first week will be an introductory session, led by our pastor, Rev. Tom Letchworth. Following that session, the remaining weeks will be taught by Rev. Andrew Thompson, our Minister of Discipleship. The class will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings, during the Sunday school hour. The aim of the class is summed up in its name: Head-Heart-Hand. It will be focused on learning what it means to love God with our hearts, souls, minds, and strength (Luke 10:27). We will be tackling fundamental questions about the Christian faith, such as: Who is God? Why do we need to be saved? What is the Church, and why is it important? How should we live as disciples in our day-to-day lives? If you are new to the church, or if you don t have a Sunday school class, we hope you ll consider being a part of the Head-Heart-Hand Class beginning in September!
