THE RESTORATION OF THE SANCTUARY AND GOD S PEOPLE END-TIME CHURCH FORETOLD SEARCH AND SHARE MINISTRY www.searchshareministry.com Overview: THE PARABLE OF UNJUST JUDGE Luke 18:2-8 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? The prayer, "Do me justice of mine adversary," applies not only to Satan, but to the agencies whom he instigates to misrepresent, to tempt, and to destroy the people of God. Those who have decided to obey the commandments of God will understand by experience that they have adversaries who are controlled by a power from beneath. Such adversaries beset Christ at every step, how constantly and determinedly no human being can ever know. Christ's disciples, like their Master, are followed by continual temptation. {COL 170.1} "Judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey." Isaiah 59:14, 15. This was fulfilled in the life of Christ on earth. He was loyal to God's commandments, setting aside the human traditions and requirements which had been exalted in their place. Because of this He was hated and persecuted. This history is repeated. The laws and traditions of men are exalted above the law of God, and those who are true to God's commandments suffer reproach and persecution. Christ, because of His faithfulness to God, was accused as a Sabbath breaker and blasphemer. He was declared to be possessed of a devil, and was denounced as Beelzebub. In like manner His followers are accused and misrepresented. Thus Satan hopes to lead them to sin, and cast dishonor upon God. {COL 170.3} In the parable of the unjust judge, Christ has shown what we should do. "Shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him?" Christ, our example, did nothing to vindicate or deliver Himself. He committed His case to God. So His followers are not to accuse or condemn, or to resort to force in order to deliver themselves. {COL 171.2} The 2,300 days prophecy is about cleansing the Sanctuary and restoring God's people The 2,300 days prophecy in Daniel 8 is pointing to Christ's heavenly ministry in the most holy place and to the temple on earth which represents God's people through restoring and settling them into the truth. God establishes an end-time church that carries the true Sanctuary message. God's people during the dark ages had been oppressed, suppressed, trodden, and persecuted by the anti-christ system but is being restored and roused up to vindicate God's character through the ministry of Christ in the heavenly Sanctuary. She is brought back to her feet to warn the world of the coming of Christ and of judgment. The anti-christ will try to hinder this work and will persecute her but the judgment against this persecuting power will come to avenged the saints of the Most High.

THEME: CHRIST IS THE FOUNDER AND RESTORER HIS CHURCH I. THE HEAVENLY SANCTUARY-GOD S DWELLING PLACE Heb. 9:23,24; 8:5 There is a Sanctuary in heaven, the original, the dwelling place of God. Note: The heavenly Sanctuary is the dwelling place of God. The center of worship and theology of God's people. (From the root word qodesh--hebrew which means "holy" or "the place of the Holy One") (Ex. 25:8 ) It was represented by the garden of Eden, the symbol of God's dwelling presence with men. It was the center of worship after the fall of man and was taken away to heaven before the flood. (Gen. 4:16 ). God introduced the use of the altars for sacrifices and offerings (Gen. 22:9 ) The Heavenly Sanctuary seen by John the Beloved: Rev. 4:5; 8:3; 11:19 John the Revelator saw in vision the Sanctuary in heaven. He saw the most holy place where the ark of the testimonies, were the ten commandments were laid (Ex. 37:7-9; Deut. 10:1-4). The mercy seat has two cherubim, under the seat is the law of God. The Sanctuary has two divisions, the holy place and the most holy place Outside the Sanctuary is the court. In the Most Holy place is the shekinah of glory. The Earthly Sanctuary patterned after the Heavenly Sanctuary: Ex. 25:9; Heb. 8:5 The earthly Sanctuary was patterned after the Sanctuary in heaven. It was introduce to Israel to be the center of worship and of the type work of the redemption. Note: In the book Hebrews the words; copy, shadow and ensample refers to the building patterned after Heavenly Sanctuary, and the word parable refers to the ministrations in the Sanctuary. II. THE MINISTRIES IN THE EARTHLY SANCTUARY Lev. 4-6,16 The Sanctuary has two important services; The daily services in the courtyard and in the holy place, and the yearly services in the most holy place, which is called the day of atonement. Note: The daily ministry is also called the continual ministry. It had two parts: the work in the courtyard and in the holy place. In the courtyard, the priest offered the daily burnt offerings on the altar of the burnt offerings in the courtyard and were done morning and evening. Between the morning and evening time of sacrifice, the priest accepted other sacrifices from the congregation like the sin offerings or the trespass offerings and other offerings related to the work at the altar of burnt offering. At the Holy place of the Sanctuary, the priests works included the keeping of the seven lamps burning morning and evening or continually, and also to burn incense morning and evening at the altar of incense. And, every Sabbath they have to put new stacks of show bread on the table of show bread. There were many other tasks involved pertaining in the daily services that represents the preliminary work of atonement in preparation to the final atonement. The Day of Atonement, which was done yearly, is the climax or the ending of the whole work of atonement which was done in the most holy place. This is to cover or to blot away all the sins of God's people brought in through the daily ministries. The day of atonement represents the work of reconciling God with His people and the Sanctuary as prophesied of restoring the Sanctuary and the Host (people of God) in Daniel 8:13-14. Heb. 8,9 The earthly Sanctuary services are the types of the ministries of Christ. These are parables that prefigures or illustrates the ministrations in the heavenly Sanctuary. Note: These ministries are being trampled, counterfeited and made obscure by the anti-christ system.

The anti-christ system teaches that the sinners should come and confess sins to church or to the priests for they have the power of God to forgive sins (study the teachings of Papacy). But the Bible teaches that we have to come to God through Christ (Jn 14:6, 1Tm 2:5). III. CHRIST'S RESTORATION OF THE SANCTUARY PROPHECY The question of the saint in Daniel 8:13,14 contains five elements in four parts: The first part is about the time length how long? The second part is about what vision the vision of the continual and of the desolating power. The third part is about what is involved the Sanctuary and the host. And the fourth is about the kind of activity the trodding underfoot of the Sanctuary and host. Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain [saint] which spake, How long [shall be] the vision [concerning] the daily [sacrifice], and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? Dan 8:13 Elements representations: 1. The continual ministry or the "tamid"(continual or daily) the continual ministry of Christ in the Sanctuary. 2. The transgression of desolation the work of the Papacy or the anti-christ system against Christ and His people. 3. The Sanctuary the dwelling place of God in heaven and it involves His people on earth (Ex. 25:8; Eph. 2:1-22). 4. The host God's people, the church (see next part). 5. The trampling of the Sanctuary and the host counterfeiting of the ministries of Christ in the Sanctuary and the persecution of God's people. Note: The question is regarding the length of time when the transgressors will continue to prosper and the causing of the Sanctuary and the host trodden underfoot. The prophecy is telling us that within the 2,300 years Christ ministry in the Sanctuary, the truth in it and its place will be obscured. After the given time was fulfilled the Sanctuary will be cleansed, and God's people will rise to her feet and the truth about the Sanctuary will be restored and be preached by the host, the church which was trampled and persecuted by the power of the transgressor the little horn. IV. THE CHURCH AND THE CLEANSING OF THE SANCTUARY The Mighty and the holy people is the Church, the people of God: Daniel 8:10--Daniel 8:24 The host and the stars, trampled by the little horn the mighty and the holy people. Daniel 8:10 Daniel 8:24 And it waxed great, [even] to the host of heaven; and it cast down [some] of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

The Seventh-Day Adventist Church in prophecy: Dan. 8:13,14 --v. 26 In the vision, the question is about the restoration of the trampled Sanctuary in truth, the cleansing from the sins of God's people and of the recovery of the trampled people of God and her cleansing from sins.and, the answer was after 2300 days or years. After the little horn's trampling of the Sanctuary and the holy people during the 2,300 years, God's people will emerge from obscurity with the Sanctuary truth and the message of the ministry of the Messiah in the Sanctuary. The church of God in the last days will rise after 2,300 years carrying the message of the Sanctuary. Christ is the truth and the restorer of the truth and those who dwells on it. In this last days He gathers His people to show the glory of God through His character in their lives. As Jesus begins ministry in the most holy place in the Sanctuary heaven signals the emergence of His chosen people on earth. Note: The particular message of the Sanctuary doctrine was revealed through the Scriptures under the guidance of the Holy Spirit to the newly organized Christian believers that came from different Christian denominations after the great disappointment in 1844. The dissappointment caused by the obscurity, the error of the Papacy followed by the protestant churches. They believed that the earth is the Sanctuary that has to be cleansed. So, the Millerites movement who preached that on October 22, 1844 Christ will come on earth to clean it. But after the disappointment, the truth about the Sanctuary was revealed and understood and the Seventh Day Adventist Church as its fruit came into existence raissing the standard high of the Scriptures. Here was the cause of our disappointment: in misapplying the term, Sanctuary, and not understanding the work to be accomplished at the end of the prophetic periods. We had supposed that the earth was the Sanctuary; that its cleansing would be when "the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth, also, and the works that are therein shall be burned up;" [2Pet.iii,10;] that, consequently, before that, Christ must come and gather his people to himself; therefore we looked for our Lord at the end of the days. But upon examination we learn that the work to be accomplished was in heaven; that Christ our great High Priest was then to enter the Most Holy Place of the true Tabernacle which the Lord pitched and not man, and make an atonement for his people. This we are clearly taught by the types, in the example and shadow of the heavenly things. Lev.xvi; Heb.viii,ix. For a full exposition of this subject, the reader is referred to a recent work on the Sanctuary and 2300 days, by J. N. Andrews. {1853 UrS, WVTP 115.5} THE subject of the Sanctuary has been the cause of much discussion among the professed believers in the immediate second advent. It was once believed by most of them that the earth was the Sanctuary, and that the burning of the earth as predicted by Peter, was the cleansing of the Sanctuary which was to transpire at the end of the 2300 days. The disappointment which those who entertained this faith were subjected to, has led many of them to investigate the testimony of the Scriptures relative to this question, for themselves. This has resulted in convincing some at least that the earth is not the Sanctuary, because that God has never called it such; and consequently that the burning of the earth has nothing to do with the cleansing of the Sanctuary. And they have further seen that the tabernacle of the Lord is his Sanctuary, or habitation; that during the typical dispensation the pattern of the true tabernacle, by the will of God, existed in the midst of his chosen people. See Ex.xxv, and a multitude of parallel scriptures. And that at the close of the typical dispensation the true tabernacle of God in heaven and the more excellent ministry of our great High Priest in that tabernacle took the place of the pattern and shadow. Heb.viii; ix. The tabernacle of God is therefore the subject of prophecy as the Sanctuary of the Bible. That this Sanctuary is to be cleansed with blood is plainly stated in Heb.ix. And this is

precisely the nature of the cleansing referred to in Dan.viii,14. For the word rendered "cleansed" in that text, is in the margin rendered "justified," and signifies, not the removing of physical uncleanness, but the removing of sin and iniquity. This is an important fact, and one that of itself goes far toward proving that the cleansing of the Sanctuary in Dan.viii and Heb.ix are the same. {February 21, 1856 JWe, ARSH 164.16} The cleansing of the Sanctuary is the cleansing of the lives of God's people: While Christ entered the Most holy place to intercede for his people He called out them from the fallen churches, from Babylon and her daughters. And, while He is cleaning the Sanctuary from the defilement done by his people He also cleanses His people on earth from their sins and defects. The passing of the time in 1844 was a period of great events, opening to our astonished eyes the cleansing of the sanctuary transpiring in heaven, and having decided relation to God's people upon the earth, [also] the first and second angels' messages and the third, unfurling the banner on which was inscribed, "The commandments of God and the faith of Jesus." One of the landmarks under this message was the temple of God, seen by His truth-loving people in heaven, and the ark containing the law of God. The light of the Sabbath of the fourth commandment flashed its strong rays in the pathway of the transgressors of God's law. The nonimmortality of the wicked is an old landmark. I can call to mind nothing more that can come under the head of the old landmarks. All this cry about changing the old landmarks is all imaginary. {CW 30.2} I was shown that if God's people make no efforts on their part, but wait for the refreshing to come upon them and remove their wrongs and correct their errors; if they depend upon that to cleanse them from filthiness of the flesh and spirit, and fit them to engage in the loud cry of the third angel, they will be found wanting. The refreshing or power of God comes only on those who have prepared themselves for it by doing the work which God bids them, namely, cleansing themselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 132 {CCh 100.5} Eph 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. III. THE HUMBLE BEGINNING OF THE S. D. A. CHURCH The SDA Church began when a group of few believers gathered for Bible study after October 22,1844 to find out the truth why the Millerites movement was disappointed. The truth began to be unsealed as it was predicted (Dan. 8:14,26). The Bible study group began by Hiram Edson, Dr. Hahn, and Mr. Crosier and grew as they published their findings. The doctrines from the Sanctuary and the other teachings involved were rediscovered like the Sabbath truth with the whole ten commandments. The doctrine about state of the dead and what is hell had become the part of the church' teachings and answered some main questions regarding God's character.

The Spirit of Prophecy that confirms the found truth was given to the developing church. There is no fundamental doctrine came from it but from Bible Study. The health message from the Bible is found and the Spirit of Prophecy gives the detail of its explanation. On May 26, 1863 it was registered in her name as the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the only church on earth that is consistent to the Sanctuary doctrine. IV. THE LAODECIAN CHURCH The seventh church of Revelation: Laodecia The church under the investigative judgment time; "Laos" --people "dikia"--being judged. Laodecia means people being judged. "dikaios" righteous. The people that are being made righteous by the blood of Christ. Rev. 12:17 The church after 1260 years reign of the Papacy Rev. 19:10 The church who has the spirit of prophecy, the testimony of Christ. Note: A cluster of seven makes the seventh the middle part of a cluster. There were six days of creation work and the seventh is the creation-creator rest in the week of creation (Gen. 1,2 Ex 20:11). The commandment about the Sabbath is a command that involves the six days of a week. In applying this princples, the Laodecian church is the core with the characteristics of the other six churches: it has VI. THE VISIBLE CHURCH Matt. 28:18-20 The commissioned church to preach the gospel. 1Thes. 5:23; Eph. 5:27 The church that prepares for Christ glorious second coming. Eph. 4:1-16 The Organized Church with visible presence Note: God's Church is always being organized by God throughout the ages. He always calls the faithful together. He gathered them to proclaim the truth that the enemy is always trying to trample. The church has unfaithful members which will later go out and join the Babylon. Jn. 10:16 The true church has members outside the body but they will be called together at the right time and join the rank of the faithfu.

Matt 13:25-30 The church has tares in it but will taken out in God's time. Note: Some Theologian call the true church, the invisible church for the sake of distinguishing the two aspects of the church. But realistically, there is no invisible church, God's people is always visible and often times persecuted. The term visible church must be applied to a militant church because the church does not attain yet perfection and purity, and, it has people that are tares and weeds. But it will become the church triumphant, the church purified, victorious and free from its defect due to the work of Christ in the heavenly Sanctuary. All her members in such time are being gathered together in one body for the translation. These people who are not seen (invisible) as part of the main body will come out to light and will become one with the body and together they will show the glory of God. VII. CHRIST, THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH Eph. 1:22, Phil. 2:10,11 Christ is the head over all things. Eph. 1:23; Col. 1:18 Christ is the head of the church. Eph. 4:12 The church is the body of Christ. Matt. 16:18 Christ is the foundation, the rock (petra) not Peter (petros). Matt. 28:18-20 Christ is the One that has the authority over the church Jn. 15:26; 16:13-15 The Holy Spirit is the Vicar of Christ on God's church. 2 Tim. 3:15-17 And, The Scripture is the authority of the church doctrines, the church has no authority above the Scriptures. Rev 19:10 And it as the Spirit of Prophecy as its testimony, the light that leads to the greater light of the Scriptures. REFLECTION God has His own people throughout the ages though trampled and persecuted still the focus of God's care. The church will not stay in obscurity, Christ restores it in the appointed time. Since 1844 A.D. the church of Christ has been established and will continue to preach the everlasting gospel into the whole world. God will hear the prayer of His people and will rise up to avenged them from the works of the little horn. GC485,486 "In the typical service the high priest, having made the atonement for Israel, came forth and blessed the congregation. So Christ, at the close of His work as mediator, will appear, "without sin unto salvation" (Hebrews 9:28),to bless His waiting people with eternal life. As the priest, in removing the sins from the sanctuary, confessed them upon the head of the scapegoat, so Christ will place all these sins upon Satan, the originator and instigator of sin. The scapegoat, bearing the sins of Israel, was sent away "unto a land not inhabited" (Leviticus 16:22); so Satan, bearing the guilt of all the sins which he has caused God's people to commit, will be for a thousand years confined to the earth, which will then be desolate, without inhabitant, and he will at last suffer the full penalty of sin in the fires that shall destroy all the wicked. Thus the great plan of redemption will reach its accomplishment in the final

eradication of sin and the deliverance of all who have been willing to renounce evil."
