Communion Hymns The Church In The Wildwood 1. There's a church in the valley by the wildwood, no lovelier spot in the dale; No place is so dear to my childhood as the little brown church in the vale. Come to the church in the wildwood, oh, come to the church In the vale; No spot is so dear to my childhood as the little brown church In the vale. 2. Oh come to the church in the wildwood, to the trees where the wild flowers bloom; Where the parting hymn will be chanted, we will weep by the side of the tomb. 3. How sweet on a clear Sabbath morning, to list to the clear ringing bell; Its tones so sweetly are calling, oh, come to the church In the vale. 4. From the church in the valley by the wildwood, when day fades away into night; I would fain from this spot of my childhood wing my way to the mansions of light. CCLI Song # 45260 Dr. William S. O they tell me of a home far beyond the skies, O they tell me of a home far away; O they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise, O they tell me of an unclouded day O the land of cloudless day, O the land of an unclouded sky; O they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise, O they tell me of an unclouded day. 2. O they tell me of a home where my friends have gone, O they tell me of that land far away; Where the tree of life In eternal bloom sheds its fragrance thro' the unclouded day. 3. O they tell me of the King in His beauty there, And they tell me that mine eyes shall behold where He sits on the throne that is whiter than snow, in the city that is made of gold. 4. O they tell me that He smiles on His children there, and His smile drives their sorrows all away; And they tell me that no tears ever come again, in that lovely land of unclouded day. My Lord has garments so wondrous fine, and myrrh their texture fills; Its fragrance reached to this heart of mine, with joy my being thrills. Out of the ivory palaces Into a world of woe, Only His great eternal love made my Savior go. 2. His life had also its sorrows sore, for aloes had a part; And when I think of the cross He bore, my eyes with teardrops start. 3. His garments, too, were in cassia dipped, with healing in a touch; Each time my feet in some sin have slipped, He took me from its clutch. 4. In garments glorious He will come, to open wide the door; And I shall enter my heavenly home, to dwell forevermore.
