Dr. Nicolas Laos was born in Athens, Greece, on July 2, 1974. His father, Kyriakos Laos, an officer of the Greek Gendarmery, and his mother, Eleftheria née Karaouli, a government employee at the Greek Ministry of Public Order, ensured a comfortable youth and a sound education for him. Dr. Nicolas Laos is a philosopher, politologist, and political consultant. His primary areas of expertise are ontology, epistemology, ethics, philosophical theology, political philosophy, noopolitics, netwar, and cultural diplomacy; his secondary areas of expertise are geopolitics, geoeconomics, political economy, organizational behavior, hypergame theory, monotonic and non-monotonic logics, and history of intelligence. Primarily, Dr. Nicolas Laos is the philosopher of methexiology. He has coined the term methexiology in order to refer to an original philosophical orientation that he articulated and expounded in his groundbreaking book Methexiology: Philosophical Theology and Theological Philosophy for the Deification of Humanity, Eugene, Oregon: Wipf and Stock Publishers/Pickwick Publications, 2016. Moreover, in 2017, this book was published in Greek by the authoritative Greek publishing company Diavlos S.A. (Εκδόσεις Δίαυλος) under the title Μεθεξιολογία: Φιλοσοφική Θεολογία και Θεολογική Φιλοσοφία για τη Θέωση της Ανθρωπότητας. Dr. Laos has a versatile academic and research background. He has studied Mathematics, Politics, and Humanities and has graduated from the University of La Verne (California) with Honors and awards from the same University s Department of Mathematics. At the University of La Verne, under the supervision of Professor Themistocles M. Rassias (Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, London, UK), he conducted advanced research in mathematical analysis, differential geometry, mathematical logic, and the history of science, and he authored the book Topics in Mathematical Analysis and Differential Geometry, which was published in 1998 by World Scientific Publ. Co. as Volume 24 in their prestigious research Series of Pure Mathematics. During his mathematical studies at the University of La Verne, he also completed the courses Intellectual History of the U.S. Since 1865, Development of American Democracy, World Civilizations, Principles of Sociology, Classical Political Philosophy, American Government & Politics, Political Behavior, and European Government & Politics at the same University, and he conducted research in the applications of logic and mathematics in the study of international-political affairs. In this context, he authored the book Theory Construction and Empirical Relevance in International Relations, which was published in 2000, in English, by the Greek academic publisher Ant. N. Sakkoulas Publications. He expanded the previous research work in his book The Metaphysics of World Order: A Synthesis of Philosophy, 1

Theology, and Politics, which was published in 2015 by Wipf and Stock Publishers/Pickwick Publications (Eugene, Oregon, U.S.A.). Above on the left: Dr. Nicolas Laos with Professor Themistocles M. Dr. Laos has earned a Doctoral Degree in Christian Philosophy (Summa cum laude) from the Academia Theológica de San Andrés, Mexico (Metropolis of Mexico and All Latin America of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical). His Doctoral Degree Program in Christian Philosophy included the following courses: Methodology of Philosophical Research I IV, Theology and Philosophy I IV, Selected Topics in Christian Philosophy I IV, Research in Christian Philosophy I IV, and Interpretation of Philosophical Texts I IV, in all of which he achieved an A grade. Dr. Nicolas Laos has taught theory of international politics and political philosophy at the University of Indianapolis (Athens Campus). Moreover, he has consulted in noopolitics, geopolitics, geoeconomics, and world security, and he has conducted research in these fields in association with several corporations and think-tanks worldwide, including R-Techno, which is a Moscow-based private intelligence company, Earth Intelligence Network (EIN), which is a Virginia-based non-profit corporation certified as a 501c3 Public Charity, the University of Kent s London Centre 2

of International Relations, the Institute of Maritime and Economic Studies (London), etc. On the left: An evaluation report on Dr. Nicolas Laos s scholarly work at the University of Indianapolis Athens Campus issued and signed by the then Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of the University of Indianapolis Athens Campus, Professor Susie Michailidis, on August 20, 2013. It mentions the following: This letter... is based in part on Dr. Nicolas Laos s assessment of instructional materials while teaching courses: IREL 545 International Relations Theory, IREL 345 International Relations Theory. More particularly, Dr. Nicolas Laos had an excellent students evaluation of the courses he taught and demonstrated his professional and intellectual leadership in class... The quality of his academic preparation, curricular design and implementation skills, as well as his rapport with the students surely places him at the top 5% of his peers. Dr. Laos has authored several books and articles in philosophy (including philosophical theology), politics, and the foundations of mathematics that have been published in English and Greek. Between 2012 and 2015, he authored more than four hundred investigative articles on world affairs that were published in authoritative Greek newspapers and magazines as well as on informative websites and blogs. In 2014, he developed and launched a successful weekly investigative documentary program called Geopolitiki kai Noopolitiki (Geopolitics and Noopolitics) on the Greek web TV channel Vmedia. Professor Evanghelos Moutsopoulos, Supervisor of the Research Center for Greek Philosophy of the Academy of Athens, has written the following endorsement for this book: Nicolas Laos s The Metaphysics of World Order not only summarizes, evaluates, and extends a very powerful literature in philosophy, theology, and political theory, but also it is a creative and substantial contribution to political philosophy and world order studies. It is a masterful interdisciplinary research work and it is clearly and engagingly written from beginning to end.
