EASTER EGG HUNT SATURDAY, MARCH 23 RD 11:00AM - 1:00PM PLAYGROUND & COURTYARD Toddlers through 5th grade are invited for a fun morning of hunting Easter eggs, spring-time activities, crafts, and a pizza lunch! Please join us for this free community-wide event! The fun begins at 11:00 am where children hunt for hundreds of Easter eggs skillfully hidden in designated age-appropriate areas! Afterwards, children will have an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny! Don t forget to bring your camera! HISTORY OF THE EASTER EGG - The Easter Egg is a symbol of creation and new life. The hard shell of the egg is broken open so that new life can emerge, as was the stone of the tomb when Jesus rose from the dead on the third day. Decorating eggs for Easter is a tradition that dates back to at least the 13th century. One explanation is that eggs were not eaten during the Lenten season, so eggs were painted and decorated to mark the end of penance and fasting. The eggs were then eaten on Easter as a celebration!

PALM SUNDAY SUNDAY, MARCH 24 TH Luke 19:28-40; Luke 22:39-71; Luke 23:1-23, Surrendering Jesus Palm Sunday is the Sunday before Easter, and marks the beginning of Holy Week, the week of events leading up to Jesus death. Jesus arrives triumphantly into Jerusalem on a donkey, while the crowds welcome Him and spread their cloaks and palm branches on the street and shout Hosanna to the Son of David and Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord to honor him as their long-awaited Messiah and King. Please join us as we celebrate Palm Sunday, March 24th at 8:30 am and 11:00 am in the Sanctuary for traditional worship and 9:30 am in the Christian Life Center (CLC) for contemporary worship. This year, a new collection of Prayer Stations, including children-focused Prayer Stations, have been added. Participate in as many or as few as you choose and please plan to come back more than once.
