As this administration begins to perform our duties, Companion John Fuller and myself, first give thanks to our Lord and Saviour and to all for the confidence that you have in us to maintain our Organization. We will do all that is required to the best of our ability. This year in Nashville, Tennessee was a wonderful time and many thanks to all for their attendance, so as we make our plans for Los Angeles, California, let us make it a remarkable event. We are trying to put out the new Directory and do not wish to leave anyone out of it. So please see that I received the information no later than October 31, 2015. Any questions please contact me. 2. Eye Glasses for Lions: The GCGMWJ John Fuller along with all the Worthy Grand Joshuas/Grand Worthy Joshuas of the Jurisdictions will be collecting your old eye glasses and frames of all sizes from children to adult. They will be donated to the Lions Club who will be able to help those less fortunate with providing them with glasses. This donation will be made in California. The GCGMWJ will be sending out more detailed information. DIRECTIVE NO. 4 Matron s Special Project Matron s Special Project is being done by the Honorary Past Grand Officers and the Chairperson is HPGCGMAM Shirley Price. They will be soliciting your support as we try to purchase our own sound system. DIRECTIVE NO. 5 Unsung Hero This year we will be presenting an award to the Unsung Hero. We want to keep our youth encouraged. The guidelines and the Theme for the Youth Oratory Contest will be coming out soon. To participate, there is a criteria that we encourage you to follow. The submission information will be placed on our website. DIRECTIVE NO. 10 Convention Information Our 94 th session for 2016will be held at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott and you will be receiving a packet with all pertinent information for our Annual Session from our Coordinator, Arlene Bolden-Flowers. However, so that we may prepare ourselves for Los Angeles, information pertaining to the rooms has been sent and all should be making their reservations. If you book early, you can guarantee yourself being in the Host Hotel and not incurring unnecessary costs. When calling, you will register under the 57th Annual Conference & 52nd Joint Session. Room rates are $109.00 per night plus tax. Conference commencing from July 1, 2016 to July 6, 2016 deadline for booking room is June 10, 2016 toll free number 1-800-228-9290. Due to the high expense of item in Los Angeles, we must raise the cost of our Registration Fee. As most of you are aware, some years ago we voted to include a Tuesday Lunch and our fee went from one-hundred ($100.00) dollars to one-hundred and twenty-five ($125.00) dollars. This was over ten years ago and everyone is aware of the high cost of everything. That being said we now must raise our Registration Fee: Pre-Registration Fee will be one-hundred and fifty ($150.00) dollars and On-Site will be one-hundred and seventy-five ($175.00) dollars. So let s start preparing ourselves. On Saturday, for the past couple of years, we have held the Hat s Off To Women Who Serve Luncheon, however, this year we will be having a medical symposium being conducted by our own Dr. Donald R. Ware. Also, on Saturday evening there will not be a Red and White Ball, as the GCGCHRAM will be hosting the Gospel Rama again. DIRECTIVE NO. 11 History We are all aware that the History of anything is so important to maintain an account of what has occurred. To know about our great organization the youth of today and tomorrow will only be able to read about some of the great strides we have made. HPGCGMAM Ruth C. Smith, Historian has requested from each Jurisdiction a historical account. Please govern yourself accordingly. DIRECTIVE NO. 12 Scholarship The Scholarship Committee is vital to our organization for without the funds raised through their endeavors we would be unable to make the donations to the students attending higher learning facilities. DIRECTIVE NO. 13 Celebration By the power vested in me as General Conference Grand Most Ancient Matron, I declare the month of October as RUTH C. SMITH Month. By Grace and Mercy she will be celebrating 99 years as of
