Patrick s Day Parade; we had a very good turn out. There were around twenty Sir Knights in full regalia from Assemblies 809, 2380 and 2900. Once again, thanks to all of you who showed up to march in the cold weather we had that day. Congratulations to SK Patrick Fahy! Pat was awarded the Commodore John Barry award by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Franklin County Patrick Pearse Division I. John Barry was an Irish Catholic and the first flag officer of the Navy. The John Barry Award is presented to a Hibernian who exhibits lifelong leadership qualities among the Irish Catholic community. The PFN dinner was a big success again this year; everyone said they had a good time. I personally want to thank Jesus Garcia for all his help. If you have never attended one of these dinner dances, I hope you will consider coming to next year s event. We not only honor the Past Faithful Navigator s that night but it is a very good chance to socialize with fellow Knights and their wives, significant others, and friends. I hope to see you there next year. I would also like to express my gratitude to all of my Brother Knights who showed up for the State Free Throw Contest. I understand we had a real good turn out. Sorry I wasn t able to be there, but I was in Cincinnati for their Fourth Degree Exempt with our Master SK Frank Iannaggi. With May just around the corner, we have a lot to do to get ready for our Exempt this year. To start with, those of you who have sponsored a New Candidate for the Fourth Degree Exempt need to get his form and his $65.00 registration fee submitted by April 21, 2006, the cut off date. Checks should be made payable to Francesco B. Iannaggi, Master of the Fourth Degree. Sponsors should also make sure that their candidate(s) and wife/friend are invited to our April meeting, which will be our Meet the New Candidates night. This meeting is the night before the cut off date for registration and will be the last chance to turn in those forms. When you and/or your candidate sign up, a choice must be made for the meal entrée for Saturday s banquet. The meal for the Banquet is Prime Rib or Chicken. The cost for the Dinner is $35.00 per person. The Ladies Tea on Sunday morning will cost $15.00 and the money for this, along with your choice for dinner (Prime Rib or Chicken) needs to be sent to SK Joseph Rossi PFN, 265 Laurel Lane, Pataskala, Ohio 43062 and the checks need to be made out to Columbus 4 th Degree Exempt Fund. You will find a form to fill out for the dinners and tea in this month s News Letter (see page 8.) Just fill it out and send it in. For both new candidates and Sir Knights please, please make sure your wife or significant other s name is on the form if they plan to attend. This is necessary for a proper seating arrangement at these events.. A final reminder: don t forget to check your Faithful Captain s and your Faithful Pilot s Report for the TOTM Dinners and for other up coming events. Fraternally yours, Joe Fenneken, Faithful Navigator 1

BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES The officers of Assembly 809 would like me to include the birthdays and anniversaries of our members in our newsletter. I can only do that with your cooperation. I would ask that each Sir Knight send me the birthdays and anniversaries of you and your lady. Then I will compile them and post the birthdays and anniversaries that fall in the month of the newsletter s publication see box at right. Then we would ask that the rest of you make a note of those birthdays and anniversaries and remember the recipients in special prayers on their special days. The power of prayer is awesome and this will be a holy endeavor for the Knights. It will not cost any of us any money, but the rewards will be great. You can mail the information to me, Charlene Core, at 2083 Birchview Rd., Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068, or e- mail it to core.home@juno.com. Thanks for your participation.
