Lamb of God Student Leadership Application Please drop off your Student Leadership application, covenant and references by Sunday, April 29th in our Youth Ministry Drop Box (Across from youth stairs). No late applications can be accepted. 2018-2019 Student Leadership Team will be selected and serve from May 2018-September 2019. Developing youth leaders with our congregation is something that we as a youth ministry feel is essential to a healthy youth ministry program. We see Christ example of pouring into his core disciples so that those disciples can pour out into their communities and families. Our Student Leadership Team is aimed at developing leadership qualities in our youth. Our hope is that our leadership program will help to give our students a greater sense of investment and ownership of their youth ministry program here at Lamb of God. Students involved in our student leadership team will have opportunities to lead their peers and younger children in the study of God s word, plan youth activities/events and grow deeper in their faith through discipleship opportunities. Our student leaders will also be youth representatives for their peers at our monthly Youth Board meetings. Our intention of this program is to promote humility and a servant heart in our student leaders, teaching them the true meaning of Godly leadership. This may mean that our students take on non-glamorous tasks such as behind the scenes planning or encouraging/affirming their peers in the youth group. Ultimate leadership is not about us but about pointing people to Jesus. Student Leadership is a year commitment and we ask both students and parents to pray fully consider that decision. We also meet 2x a month for Student Leadership Meetings/Training and students will need to meet a 80% attendance rate. All that apply should carefully consider the time commitments and requirements of this program as outlined in our Student Leadership Covenant. We look forward to seeing where the Lord leads our student leadership this upcoming year. Student Leadership Team selection process: Our team will be built on the current need and size of our youth group. We will do our very best to represent our youth group through grades as well as gender. Please realize that not all applicants may be able to serve on the board depending on the size of applicants. We ask that if the Lord does not will your selection this year that you continue to apply in following years. Qualities that are taken in to consideration for application selection are: personal integrity, openness of faith, involvement in the last year of youth ministry events/classes, ability to deal with adversities, personal initiative with taking on tasks and the ability to receive accountability and feedback from adults and peers. Selection will be decided by youth staff member and youth president based on review of the completed application and feedback solicited from teachers and adult leaders. Please know that we will be pray fully considering our applicants before selecting the team.
