FIRST ANTIPHON: I am filled with love for the Lord will hear the voice of my plea. Through the prayers of the Mother of God, O Savior, save us. For He has inclined His ear to me, and I will call to Him all the days of my life. Through the prayers of the Mother of God, O Savior, save us. The pangs of death encircled me, the trials of Hades befell me. Through the prayers of the Mother of God, O Savior, save us. I met with anguish and pain and called upon the name of the Lord. Through the prayers of the Mother of God, O Savior, save us. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and for ever and ever. Amen. Only-begotten Son... THIRD ANTIPHON: IN PLACE OF COME, LET US SING JOYFULLY Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, for His mercy endures forever. Troparion: Assuring us before Your Passion of the general resurrection, You raised Therefore, let the house of Israel say that He is good, for His mercy endures forever. Troparion: Assuring us before Your Passion of the general resurrection, You raised Therefore, let the house of Aaron say that He is good, for His mercy endures forever. Troparion: Assuring us before Your Passion of the general resurrection, You raised Let all who fear the Lord say that He is good, for His mercy endures forever.

Troparion: Assuring us before Your Passion of the general resurrection, You raised WELCOMING JESUS WITH PALMS-Now is the time to hold up your palms/ willows. Entrance Hymn: IN PLACE OF COME, LET US WORSHIP & FALL DOWN BEFORE CHRIST. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, we bless You from the house of the Lord, the Lord is God and has appeared to us. Troparion: Today is the crown of our salvation, and the unfolding of the eternal mystery; the Son of God becomes the Virgin s Son, and Gabriel brings the good tidings of grace. With him let us also cry to the Mother of God: Rejoice, Full of grace! The Lord is with you. Troparion: Assuring us before Your Passion of the general resurrection, You raised Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. Kontakion: Mounted on the throne in heaven, O Christ God, and on a colt here on earth, You accepted the praise of the angels, and the hymn of the children who cried to You: Blessed are You who have come to call Adam back. Now and for ever and ever. Amen. Kontakion: To You, O Mother of God, the invincible leader, we, your servants, ascribe these victory hymns in thanksgiving for our deliverance from evil. With your invincible power free us from all dangers that we may cry out to you: Hail, O Bride and pure Virgin! Prokeimenon: Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord; God the Lord has appeared to us. verse: Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, for His mercy endures forever. Proclaim from day to day the good tidings of our God s salvation.

A reading of the Epistle of the Holy Apostle Paul to the Hebrews 2:11-18: Brethren, He who consecrates and those who are being consecrated all have one origin. Therefore, he is not ashamed to call them brothers, saying: I will proclaim your name to my brothers, in the midst of the assembly I will praise you ; and again: I will put my trust in him ; and again: Behold, I and the children God has given me. Now since the children share in blood and flesh, he likewise shared in them, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and free those who through fear of death had been subject to slavery all their life. Surely, he did not help angels but rather the descendants of Abraham; therefore, he had to become like his brothers in every way, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest before God to expiate the sins of the people. Because he himself was tested through what he suffered, he is able to help those who are being tested. Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice! Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Keep on doing what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me. Then the God of peace will be with you. ALLELUIA: Alleluia (3) He will descend like rain on a fleece, and like drops dripping on the earth. Alleluia (3). Let His name be blessed through the ages; His name exists before the sun. Alleluia (3). Sing to the Lord a new song for He has worked wonders. Alleluia (3). All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. WELCOMING JESUS WITH PALMS-Now is the time to hold up your palms/ willows. Gospel: Luke 1:24-38; John 12:1-18 After these days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and for five months she hid herself, saying, "Thus the Lord has done to me in the days when he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men." In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose

name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And he came to her and said, "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!" But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there will be no end." And Mary said to the angel, "How shall this be, since I have no husband?" And the angel said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, your kinswoman Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible." And Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her. Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. There they made him a supper; Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those at table with him. Mary took a pound of costly ointment of pure nard and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment. But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (he who was to betray him), said, "Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?" This he said, not that he cared for the poor but because he was a thief, and as he had the money box he used to take what was put into it. Jesus said, "Let her alone, let her keep it for the day of my burial. The poor you always have with you, but you do not always have me." When the great crowd of the Jews learned that he was there, they came, not only on account of Jesus but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. So, the chief priests planned to put Lazarus also to death, because on account of him many of the Jews were going away and believing in Jesus. The next day a great crowd who had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. So, they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!" And Jesus found a young ass and sat upon it; as it is written, "Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your king is coming, sitting on an ass's colt!" His disciples did not understand this at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that this had been written of him

and had been done to him. The crowd that had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead bore witness. The reason why the crowd went to meet him was that they heard he had done this sign. DURING THE ENTRANCE OF GIFTS: WELCOMING JESUS WITH PALMS-Now is the time to hold up your palms/willows. INSTEAD IF IT IS TRULY RIGHT : O my soul, magnify Christ who is seated on a foal. The Lord is God and has appeared to us: together let us celebrate.
