Scripture Reading The Candle of Peace L: For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders; and He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. C: Loving God, in a world of division and misunderstanding, may we know and experience Your Peace. L: Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. C: Loving God, in a world of worry and care, may we be bearers of Your Peace to anxious people. L: The fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace. So let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts to which indeed you were called in one body. Jesus said, Blessed are the Peacemakers for they shall be called Sons of God. C: Loving God, in a world of conflict and hate, may we live and walk as Peacemakers All: Dear Jesus, you entered our world on Christmas as the Prince of Peace. This Advent, as we strive to become the-bestversion-of-ourselves, fill us with a deep and abiding Peace. Help us share that Peace with everyone we encounter, especially those who need it most. Amen.
