Joy to the world Joy to the world! the Lord is come; Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare Him room, and heaven and nature sing, and heaven and nature sing, and heaven, and heaven and nature sing. Joy to the earth! the Savior reigns; Let men their songs employ; while fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat, repeat the sounding joy. Joy to the world Joy to the world He rules the world with truth and grace, and makes the nations prove the glories of His righteousness, and wonders of His love, and wonders of His love, and wonders, wonders of His love Joy to the world Joy to the world Let earth receive her king Go tell it on the mountain Over the hills and everywhere That Jesus Christ is born. While shepherds kept their watching o er silent flocks by night, Behold, throughout the heavens There shone a holy light Over the hills and everywhere That Jesus Christ is born. The shepherds feared and trembled, When lo! above the earth, Rang out the angels chorus That hailed our Savior's birth. Over the hills and everywhere That Jesus Christ is born. Down in a lowly manger The humble Christ was born And God sent us salvation That blessed Christmas morn. Over the hills and everywhere That Jesus Christ is born. Reading one (Isaiah 9:6-7) 6 For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on His shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. 7 The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever. The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will accomplish this. - 4 -

Silent night Silent night, holy night All is calm, all is bright Round yon Virgin Mother and Child Holy Infant so tender and mild Sleep in heavenly peace Sleep in heavenly peace Silent night, holy night! Shepherds quake at the sight Glories stream from heaven afar Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia! Christ, the Saviour is born Christ, the Saviour is born Silent night, holy night Son of God, love's pure light Radiant beams from Thy holy face With the dawn of redeeming grace Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth Reading two (Matthew 1:18-25) 18 The birth of Jesus Christ came about this way: After His mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, it was discovered before they came together that she was pregnant by the Holy Spirit. 19 So her husband Joseph, being a righteous man, and not wanting to disgrace her publicly, decided to divorce her secretly. 20 But after he had considered these things, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, don t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is by the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to name Him Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins. - 5-22 Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: 23 See, the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name Him Immanuel, which is translated God is with us. 24 When Joseph got up from sleeping, he did as the Lord s angel had commanded him. He married her 25 but did not know her intimately until she gave birth to a son. And he named Him Jesus. Item (band) Away in a manger Away in a manger, No crib for His bed The little Lord Jesus Laid down His sweet head The stars in the bright sky Looked down where He lay The little Lord Jesus Asleep on the hay The cattle are lowing The poor Baby wakes But little Lord Jesus No crying He makes I love Thee, Lord Jesus Look down from the sky And stay by my side, 'Til morning is nigh. Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stay Close by me forever And love me I pray Bless all the dear children In Thy tender care And take us to heaven To live with Thee there

God rest ye merry gentlemen God rest ye merry gentlemen, let nothing you dismay Remember Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas Day To save us all from Satan's power, when we had gone astray Oh, tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy Oh, tidings of comfort and joy From God our Heavenly Father a blessed Angel came And unto certain shepherds brought tidings of the same How that in Bethlehem was born the Son of God by name Oh, tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy Oh, tidings of comfort and joy "Fear not then," said the Angel, "Let nothing you affright, This day is born a Saviour Of a pure Virgin bright, To free all those who trust in Him From Satan's power and might." O tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy O tidings of comfort and joy" Now to the Lord sing praises, all you within this place And with true love and brotherhood, each other now embrace This holy tide of Christmas, all others doth deface Oh, tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy Oh, tidings of comfort and joy Jingle bell rock Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock Jingle bell swing and jingle bell ring. Snowin and blown up bushels of fun Now the jingle hop has begun Jingle bell jingle bell, jingle bell rock Jingle bell chime in jingle bell time. Dancin and prancin in Jingle bell square in the frosty air. What a bright time, it s the right time To rock the night away Jingle bell time, is a swell time to go glidin in a one-horse sleigh Giddyup, jingle horse, pick up your feet Jingle around the clock Mix and mingle in a jinglin beat. That s the jingle bell rock! Once in Royal David s City Once in Royal David s city stood a lowly cattle shed, Where a mother laid her baby in a manger for his bed. Mary was the mother mild, Jesus Christ her little child. He came down to earth from heaven, who is God and Lord of all, And his shelter was a stable, and his cradle was a stall. With the poor, and mean, and lowly, Lived on earth our Saviour holy. And our eyes at last shall see him, through his own redeeming love For that child, so dear and gentle is our Lord in heaven above; And he leads his children on To the place where he has gone. - 6 -

Not in that poor lowly stable, with the oxen standing by, We shall see him; but in heaven, set at God s right hand on high; Where like stars his children crowned All in white shall gather round. Angels we have heard on high Angels we have heard on high... Sweetly singing o er the plains... And the mountains in reply... Echo back their joyous strains. Shepherds why this jubilee? Why your joyous strains prolong? What the gladsome tidings be Which inspire your heavenly song? Gloria in excelsis Deo! Come to Bethlehem and see Him whose birth the angels sing; Come, adore on bended knee Christ the Lord, the newborn king. Gloria in excelsis Deo! Gloria in excelsis Deo! See Him in a manger laid, Jesus, Lord of heav n and earth; Mary, Joseph, lend your aid, With us sing our saviour s birth. Gloria in excelsis Deo! Gloria in excelsis Deo! In excelsis Deo! In excelsis Deo! O Come, O Come Emmanuel O come, O come, Emmanuel, And ransom captive Israel, That mourns in lonely exile here Until the Son of God appears. Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! O come, Thou Dayspring, come and cheer Our spirits by Thine advent here; Disperse the gloomy clouds of night, And death s dark shadows put to flight Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! O come, O Come, Thou Lord of might, Who to Thy tribes on Sinai s height In ancient times didst give the law In cloud and majesty and awe. Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! Reading three (Matthew 2:1-12) 1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod, wise men from the east arrived unexpectedly in Jerusalem, 2 saying, Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him. 3 When King Herod heard this, he was deeply disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 So he assembled all the chief priests and scribes of the people and asked them where the Messiah would be born. 5 In Bethlehem of Judea, they told him, because this is what was written by the prophet: 6 And you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the leaders of Judah: because out of you will come a leader who will shepherd My people Israel. 7 Then Herod secretly summoned the wise men and asked them the exact time the star appeared. 8 He sent them to Bethlehem and said, Go and search carefully for the child. When you find Him, report back to me so that I too can go and worship Him. - 7 -

9 After hearing the king, they went on their way. And there it was the star they had seen in the east! It led them until it came and stopped above the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed beyond measure. 11 Entering the house, they saw the child with Mary His mother, and falling to their knees, they worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. 12 And being warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their own country by another route. We three kings of orient are We three kings of orient are, bearing gifts we traverse afar Field and fountain, moor and mountain, Following yonder star, O Star of wonder, star of night, star with royal beauty bright, Westward leading, still proceeding, Guide us to thy perfect light. Born a King on Bethlehem plain, Gold I bring to crown him again King forever, ceasing never, Over us all to reign Frankincense to offer have I; Incense owns a Deity nigh: Prayer and praising, all men raising, Worship him, God most high: Myrrh is mine, its bitter perfume Breathes a life of gathering gloom; Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying Sealed in the stone-code tomb: O Star of wonder, star of night, star with royal beauty bright, Westward leading, still proceeding, Guide us to thy perfect light. - 8 - Glorious now, behold him arise, King, and God, and sacrifice! Heaven sing alleluia, Alleluia the earth replies. O Star of wonder, star of night, star with royal beauty bright, Westward leading, still proceeding, Guide us to thy perfect light Talk (Pete Tong) Reading four (Luke 2:8-20) 8 In the same region, shepherds were staying out in the fields and keeping watch at night over their flock. 9 Then an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, Don t be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: 11 Today a Savior, who is Messiah the Lord, was born for you in the city of David. 12 This will be the sign for you: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in cloth and lying in a feeding trough. 13 Suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying: 14 Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to people He favors! 15 When the angels had left them and returned to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, Let s go straight to Bethlehem and see what has happened, which the Lord has made known to us. 16 They hurried off and found both Mary and Joseph, and the baby who was lying in the feeding trough. 17 After seeing them, they reported the message they

were told about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary was treasuring up all these things in her heart and meditating on them. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had seen and heard, just as they had been told. Item (band) O Come All Ye Faithful O Come All Ye Faithful Joyful and Triumphant O Come ye O Come ye to Bethlehem Come and behold him Born the king of Angels Christ, The Lord! Sing, choirs of angels Sing in Exultation Sing, all ye citizens of heaven above Glory to God Glory in the Highest Christ, The Lord! The Lord! Come and behold him, Born the king of Angels... O COME LET US ADORE HIM O COME LET US ADORE HIM O Christ the Lord The Lord!!!! We wish you a merry Christmas We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year Good tidings we bring, to you and your kin Good tidings for Christmas and a happy new year. We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year Good tidings we bring, to you and your kin Good tidings for Christmas and a happy new year.
