What does Jesus' Resurrection Have to Do with Your Life? Luke 23:33-38; 24:1-7; 36-39; 46-49
I am made fit for heaven: John 3:16: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8: So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
I am fit to live on earth: Colossians 1:27: To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. John 14:15-18: If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
Here are some of the benefits that come because of the resurrected Savior: 1. The new birth into the family of God: (John 3:16). 2. We are adopted into the family of God: Romans 8:14-15: For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, Abba, Father. 3. We receive a new nature: Colossians 1:27: To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles. Colossians 3:1-2: If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

We now have guidance into all truth: John 16:13: However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 5. We receive the Fruit of the Spirit: Galatians 5:22-23: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, selfcontrol. Against such there is no law.

We receive power for victorious living: Eph. 3:20; Romans 15:13; & Acts 1:8 - But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Because He Lives 7. We can have an intimate relationship with God: John 14:16-17 for He dwells with you and will be in you. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17: Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

The Supernatural is always available for us: John 14:27: Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 9. We have a personal prayer Intercessor at God's throne: Romans 8:26, Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 10. We have received Spiritual gifts: 1 Cor. 12 11. We have unity and blessed fellowship in the Body of Christ: 1 Cor. 12:13; Eph. 4:3-6. 12. We have Him indwelling us as our Teacher: John 16:13 - He will guide you into all truth;

We have direction and conviction concerning our sin: John 16:8: And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 14. We have an increasingly sensitive conscience of sin: Romans 9:1 15. We can have the ongoing improvement in our behavior: 1 Cor. 6:9-11, Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
John 14:20-26 "At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him. 22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world? 23 Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father s who sent Me. 25 These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
The greatest proof of the Resurrected Christ Is the lives that He has changed.
