*PRAYER of INVOCATION and LORD S PRAYER Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. ACKNOWLEDGING GOD S GRACE *CONFESSION of FAITH Colossians 1:15-20 Minister: Congregation: Who is the Lord Jesus Christ? He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. And He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything He might be preeminent. For in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of His cross. 5

CONFESSION of SIN After silent confession, please, pray the following in unison Merciful God, You pardon all who truly repent and turn to You. We humbly confess our sins and ask for Your mercy. We have not loved You with a pure heart, nor have we loved our neighbor as ourselves. We have not done justice, loved kindness, or walked humbly with You, our God. Have mercy on us, O God, in Your loving-kindness. In Your great compassion, cleanse us from our sin. Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Restore to us the joy of Your salvation, and sustain us with Your bountiful Spirit. Amen. ASSURANCE of PARDON for BELIEVERS Proverbs 28:13-14 Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. Blessed is the one who fears the Lord always, but whoever hardens his heart will fall into calamity. 6

SONG of RENEWAL My Jesus I Love Thee (Hymn #648) Words and Music: William Featherstone Adoniram and Judson Gordon My Jesus I love Thee I know Thou art mine For Thee all the follies of sin I resign My gracious Redeemer my Savior art Thou If ever I loved Thee my Jesus 'tis now I love Thee because Thou hast first loved me And purchased my pardon on Calvary's tree I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus 'tis now I'll love Thee in life; I will love Thee in death And praise Thee as long as Thou lendest me breath And say when the death dew lies cold on my brow If ever I loved Thee my Jesus 'tis now In mansions of glory and endless delight I'll ever adore Thee in heaven so bright I'll sing with the glittering crown on my brow If ever I loved Thee my Jesus 'tis now 7

Their objective is to glorify God through making disciples of Christ by planting new Christ-centered churches and strengthening existing churches. Prayer for Those Searching for Truth Lord Jesus, You claim to be the way, the truth, and the life. Grant that I might be undaunted by the cost of following You as I consider the reasons for doing so. If what You claim is true, please guide me, teach me, and show me the reality of who You are. Amen. Prayer of Belief Heavenly Father, I admit that I am more sinful than I ever before believed, but, through Your Son Jesus, I can be more loved and accepted than I ever dared hope. I thank You that He lived the life I should have lived, and paid the debt and punishment I deserved. Receive me now for His sake. I turn from my sins and receive Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. Amen. Prayer for Those Struggling with Sin Lord Jesus, help me to look to You as the fulfillment of all my needs, and to turn from every false satisfaction to feed on You, the true and living bread. Enable me to lay aside the sin that clings so closely, and run with perseverance the race set before me, looking to You, the pioneer and perfecter of my faith. Amen. Prayer of Commitment Lord Jesus, You have called us to follow You in a life of committed discipleship in Your church. Grant that I may take the necessary steps to be one with Your people, and live in the fullness of Your Spirit. Amen 15
