Financially, it was a good year and we are so thankful to God for His provision. Our income for the year was $7,118,729 and our expenses were $6,931,945, which means our income exceeded expenses in the General/Missions Fund by $186,784. This can be attributed to the continued generosity of our church body and to church leaders monitoring expenses, which came in below budget. In addition, we were able to provide financial assistance through our Benevolence Fund in the amount of $195,568 because of your giving and your heart to help those who are struggling financially. We are also excited to report that there was significant giving to our Purpose/Unwritten Campaign and, as of the end of August, we have $198,575 of debt remaining. We are on track to be debt free in November 2016. Because August and September are historically slower giving months, our year-end goal was set at $1.3 million so we would end the year in a good financial position and start the next fiscal year strong. We praise God for providing $1,332,855 through His people. Please continue to faithfully give as we begin the new fiscal year. Thank you for responding to God s movement in each of our hearts to accomplish His purpose through Lincoln Berean. If you would like more information, please contact Cody Colgrove in our Business Office. In June we announced that our June/July giving goal was $1.2M. We always try to be honest when we present the goal. We don t try to pad the numbers; we report what we need to finish in the black. Funny story is that when the Elders presented the amount at our Board meeting, the final number was $1.3M. However, the weekend the announcement was made, we reported that we needed $1.2M. Initially, no one caught it. Finally, after someone noticed the error, we decided we wouldn t confuse people by trying to correct the mistake and instead, trusted God and kept the number at $1.2M. On the last week of the fiscal year, the total came in at over $1.3M exceeding our goal by 2.5%. We ve never had one person in the congregation write a check to cover the balance of what we don t receive. Instead, we have thousands of people who prayerfully consider what God would have them give. Year after year we see thousands come together to help reach our goal, and this year was no different. How do you explain that, but to say that people are genuinely sensitive to the Holy Spirit. This as a significant indication of the spiritual health of our congregation.

We hope this booklet inspires you to live every day for the things that ultimately matter. You will never get this decade back. With only four years left in this decade, what are you doing to make this decade count? hello@lincolnberean.org @LincolnBerean 6400 S. 70th STREET // LINCOLN, NE 68516 // 402.483.6512 // LINCOLNBEREAN.ORG
