O THE SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER MAY 6, 2018 Thanks for all who have Supported our Community Many thanks for all of our School Families who came to clean up our gardens last weekend. It was a blessing. Thank you for all that participated in our community fundraiser Auction and dinner on Cinco de Mayo. Honoring Our Lady in May We have crowned the Blessed Virgin Mary so may we implore her intercession especially this month of May. May we pray for peace and the protection of all life. On May 13 Mary first appeared to the children at Fatima asking them to pray the Rosary. Our Lady added, 'Pray the rosary every day to obtain peace for the world and the end of the war.' May we pray for the war to end in Korea and Afghanistan by praying the Rosary daily, come 30 minutes before the Sunday Mass to pray the Rosary at the Our Lady of Guadalupe image. Queen of Heaven, this is traditionally said to end night prayer during the Easter Season. I invite our families to pray this prayer before you go to sleep for the next two weeks. V. Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia. R. For He whom you did merit to bear, alleluia. V. Has risen, as he said, alleluia. R. Pray for us to God, alleluia. V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia. R. For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia. Let us pray. O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant we beseech Thee, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen. Join the 100 million prayer challenge to pray for the safety of the unborn on Relevant Radio Please join us in praying Memorares for the end of abortion. This is a most powerful prayer, and this kind can only be cast out by prayer and fasting. (Mt 17:20) Let s keep track of our prayers, so we will encourage each other to pray more. You can pray the Memorare yourself, or with friends, family, or with your class at school. We ll even pray on the air. And once you ve accumulated 100 Memorares, please enter that number onto our Memorare Meter. Could you pray nine each day? May God bless you and may Our Lady of Guadalupe, Protectress of the Unborn, hear our prayers. Memorare Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. Question from our Sunday Readings: For Adults: How is love of others connected to the love of God? For Children: Who needs Jesus love this week? How can you show them His love? Keep our Confirmation Candidates in prayer as they prepare for Confirmation on June 9, 2018 at the Cathedral. Director of Evangelization position I am taking applications for a part time Director of Evangelization position. After May 20 interviews will take place. Please contact the office or talk with Fr. Tom for more information. Peace, Fr. Tom 1

PRINICPAL S MESSAGE An awesome 9:30 Mass was shared with many parishioners due to the reception of First Communion with 20 of our second grade students. Fr. Tom gave a great homily to those receiving and stayed after Mass so that each student could have his/her picture taken with Fr. Tom. We look forward to those families now coming each Sunday with our newest members of the church. We also wish God's blessings on the other children in the parish who will also be receiving the sacrament for the first time. How perfect the bible verse when Jesus said, "let the children come to me." -Susan Anderson VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL July 23rd to July 27th 9:00am-12 noon Venture onto an uncharted island where kids survive and thrive.
