PIECEOFHISTORY Special Attributes of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Part 1 How many attributes did the greatest man who ever walked on the face of the earth, Muhammad (Peace and Blessing Be Upon Him) have? One? Two? No! He had many special attributes that no other person can ever have. Allah has given so many special ranks and positions to our beloved Muhammad (PBUH). One very special quality is, (narrated by Ibn Abbas and others) Whenever Allah is mentioned, Rasulullah (PBUH) is mentioned right after that. This statement is so true! Think about our Shahaadah, the call to Prayer or Adhan, and even the Quran. When Allah has called Rasulullah (PBUH) The Mercy of Mankind, how can we not think about how special Rasulullah (PBUH) is? Continued
PIECEOFHISTORY The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had been given many beautiful names by people and even Allah! In Sahih Muslim, there is a Hadith that the Prophet said., I have a number of names. I am Muhammad, and I am Ahmad, and I am Mahee (the one whom Allah erases Kufr from), and I am Hashir (people will be resurrected after me), and I am Aaqib (there is no prophet after me), and I am the Prophet of Mercy, and I am the Prophet of Repentance, and I am Muqaffaa (the one who comes after a list of people), and I am the Prophet of Malahim. Continued
PIECEOFHISTORY The two most common names of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) mentioned in the Quran are Muhammad and Ahmad. Muhammad and Ahmad are both mentioned a few times in the Quran. Both Muhammad and Ahmad come from the word Hamd. Hamd means A praise that is given to someone because that person is worthy of receiving the praise. So, both of these names come from the root word praise because Allah, the angels, the people on earth, and all the prophets praised him. Even those who reject Rasulullah (PBUH) by their words, they have to have some sort of admiration of his actions. There is no human being who has ever been praised as much as Rasulullah (PBUH). Not a second goes by without any human beings praising Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Continued
PIECEOFHISTORY The biggest praise of mankind for Rasulullah (PBUH) will happen on the Day of Resurrection. On the Day of Resurrection, even the disbelievers will know that Allah is the only God, that Muhammad (PBUH) is the final Prophet and that Islam is the true religion. Muslims and non-muslims will go to Prophet Adam (PBUH) and ask him, You are our father! Allah created you with His own hand! See what your children are facing right now? We beg you to start the reckoning! Adam will excuse himself and say I committed a sin, I worry for myself! Go to Nuh (PBUH). The entire mankind will go to Nuh (PBUH) and beseech him the same question, but Nuh will give the same response. Humanity will go to Ibrahim (PBUH) and ask him the same request, but Ibrahim (PBUH) will be worried about himself. Everyone will then go to Musa (PBUH). Continued
PIECEOFHISTORY Musa will also excuse himself and will also tell everyone to go to Isa (PBUH). Isa (PBUH) will also say he is not worthy of the task, and he will tell everyone to go to Muhammad (PBUH). They will beseech the Prophet (PBUH) to intercede for them and to ask Allah to begin the Day of Resurrection. The Prophet will say, This is my job, and he will go in front of Allah. This is the highest praise from mankind. This is referred to as the Maqaam al Mahmoud. Maqaam al Mahmoud means the Rank of the Praised. Every being in existence will praise the Prophet.
HAJJ&EID-UL-ADHAPROtips Saudi Arabia is very hot, especially because you will have to do lots of walking. So remember: DRINK LOTS OF WATER! Remember to take moisturizing lotions that don t have any scent. Regular vaseline will suffice too.. The area is very dry, so try your best to stay hydrated, inside and out! (Women) Remember to wear loose fitting cotton clothes. Don t wear flashy colors. You can carry eye-shades/sunglasses and an umbrella if it gets very sunny.
HAJJ&EID-UL-ADHAPROtips Hajj is all about sacrificing your needs and desires for the sake of Allah. Just remember Ibrahim (Alayhis Salaam) when you feel that something is difficult. Stick to your group, and have a designated meeting place, in case anyone is lost. Before you go to Hajj, brainstorm duas to make when you are there. If you have a sick family member, or you really want something, write it down so you can make dua when you arrive. Make dua for all the people you know and for the people you don t know.
HAJJ&EID-UL-ADHAPROtips Recite the Takbeer repeatedly until the afternoon on the third day of Eid. Don t pack things that are not necessary. Pack essential things only. Take first aid items so that, in case there are any cuts or bruises, you can be prepared to treat them. (E.g. bandages)

ASURAH SMEANING Surah Al-Fatiha (Chapter 1 of Quran) In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Merciful. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. All praise due to Allah, Lord of the Universe. The Most Kind, the Most Merciful. Owner of the Day of Judgement. It is You we worship and You we ask for help. Guide us to the Straight Path. The path of those You have favored, not the path of those who earned Your anger or went astray. The meaning of Surah Fatiha is very beautiful indeed!
MEETSOMEONENEW We re meeting Muhammad Ali this month. Muhammad Ali was born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. His former name was Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr. At a tender age of 12, he started learning how to box. At the age of 18, he won the gold medal in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. Soon after he won, he converted to Islam and changed his name to Muhammad Ali. In 1966, he was told to join the U.S Army, but he refused to, because of his religious beliefs. He was arrested for not joining the army and that caused him to lose his gold medal. Soon after, the Boxing Association did not let him fight for three years, starting from the year 1967. He appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court. The Court overturned his conviction in 1971. When Ali returned to the ring again, he won many great titles and was known for his talent. He decided to retire in 1981. Three years later, he suffered from Parkinson s disease. Ali passed away on June 3, 2016 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Continued

FUNfact Do you brush your teeth everyday? Do you know who invented the toothbrush? Muslims did! Prophet Muhammad (peace & blessings be upon him) used a Miswak, a twig from the Peelu tree, to clean his teeth. Also, in Islam, Allah orders us to be clean and pure. In this way, cleanliness of the mouth became famous as Islam grew. 20
