We had an outstanding VBS this year! Thanks to all teachers, helpers, parents, and students for your participation and enthusiasm. Special thanks to Josh and Mary Bowman for your leadership and planning. To everyone, job well done! We have begun our new sermon series in the Book of Romans on Sunday mornings. Our goal each Sunday is to explain the text and apply it to our daily lives. This portion of Scripture reveals the Gospel of Christ in all its fullness. I look forward to exploring its riches with you each week. Our sanctuary Bible class will begin a new study Sunday, July 1 at 10:00 AM. Please join us if you are not already attending another class. Potter s Field Update - From Janet Chaney LBC Missionary to Thailand In learning the Thai language and especially with transla ng a song (plang) from English to Thai, it can be difficult to keep the rhythm of a familiar song. Something as easy as I ll Fly Away which is very upbeat and fast-paced, recently proved difficult for my Thai teacher, Khru Ded to help me translate so that I could teach this new song to the people at the Elder Home. First of all, we had to define and clarify WHERE we were flying away to. This is a cri cal point and something we take for granted in American Chris anity that we all assume where we are flying TO (for those who belong to Christ Jesus.) So here is the transla on and the new song I am working on. Those of you who are musically skilled might try it yourself! The next song I will be learning is I ve Been Redeemed. For now, here is I ll Fly Away: Saak wan neung nan (Some glad morning) Muea chewit nee job siin (When this life is over) Chan ja hen Pra Jow (I ll fly to God) Tueng suaang sa-wan (To the heaven) Tee Pra Jow bpra taap (Where God lives) Chan ja hen Pra Jow. (I ll fly away) Chan ja hen Pra Jow lae raa see (I ll fly away oh glory) Chan ja hen Pra Jow (I ll fly away) Muea chan dtaai (When I die) Hallelujah chan ja bpai haa (Hallelujah when I go ) Chan ja hen Pra Jow (I ll fly away.) Thank you for your prayers for me as I learn the language and also your prayers for the people and the work God have given to us here in Pa aya.
