The Hartford Smith College Club is documeted i the archive i a variety of ways. There are ewsletters, postigs, evet flyers, ad ephemera that rage i date from 1896 to 1920 ad from the 1980s to the 1990s. The collectio holds great historical sigificace for Smith alumae ad the geeral public alike. For this reaso, the Hartford Smith College Club started a collectig iitiative for both curret AND past Club material i 2006. But, ufortuately, there have bee few doatios. This summer Naci Youg, Smith College Archivist, cotacted our Club i the hopes of fillig more gaps i their documetatio. Ms. Youg is particularly iterested i procurig material cocerig the Club s fudraisig efforts i the early 1950s. As see i a advertisemet of the May 1953 Smith Alumae Quarterly, the Hartford Smith College Club offered for sale a Smith College chair (both straight ad armed).
