Our family will be here in mid October!! The Core Group has secured and set up housing. The fund is at about half of what is needed. The congregation is invited to come have a look at the home that has been set up for the Horo family at #7 Princess Petra Avenue after church today until 2:00 pm. FUNDRAISER: We are planning a Silent Auction fundraiser in the not too distant future and will be accepting items to add to those we already have. You could purchase an item and donate it or donate a like new item you no longer need in your home. More info coming soon! Operation Christmas Child Looking for new ways to get involved in packing shoe boxes this year? Join us for a packing party at the church on November 17 or 18. Our next big event is the Al Massira training course happening in Calgary. Please pray for Eldon who is deeply involved in the logistics and planning. He's been spending a lot of time at the computer "making it happen", with registrations, etc. Al Massira is an explanatory course designed to present a Biblical understanding of the faith and identity of the Messiah. It is a chronological and story-based journey through history and takes place in the land where that story originated. The course is designed to equip Christians on how to use the 13-session video series with non-believers. After we have received the training, we hope to use this course with inquiring Bangladeshi friends. Pray that God will lead us to the right people, whose hearts He is already preparing for an encounter with Himself. Please pray for our "adopted" son, Moe and his fiancee, Sara, who are getting married on September 30th. Both are believers in Jesus, from Muslim background. Sara's family is not at all happy that she is marrying a follower of Jesus and have made their pre-wedding weeks so difficult. Pray for Moe & Sara's safety, for some from her family to agree to attend the ceremony, and for the Gospel witness to be loving and strong. Pray as we reconnect with our Muslim friends after our time away. Pray for Ruth as she tries to reach out to Daisy who has many personal sorrows and also for her husband who has some health issues going on.
