We have not forgiven others, as we have been forgiven. Have mercy on us, Lord. We have been deaf to Your call to serve, as Christ served us. We have not been true to the mind of Christ. Diocesan Prayer Diary APRIL 2018 1 st - Sunday Easter Day -Pray for all the churches in our Diocese. -Pray for all the churches to have a strong sense of concern and loyalty towards the people of this country. The Bishop of the Diocese & Archbishop of the Province of SEA -Lift our Archbishop, The Rt. Rev. Datuk Ng Moon Hing in your prayers daily. -Pray that God will pour His discernment upon him and fill him with His power, courage and grace. 2 nd Monday -Pray for all the church to be awakened to the corrupt and worrying state of our nation. -Pray for all the church to seek the welfare of the nation by voting righteous and upright candidates into office. Archdeacons of the 6 Archdeaconry: -Ven. Dr. Stephen Soe of Upper North, Ven. John Kennady of Lower North, Ven. Eddie Ong of Upper Central, Ven. Charles Fraser of Lower Central, Ven. Edward M. John of Southern and Ven. Stephen Chan of Eastern. -Pray they will keep their eyes on God and will follow God s leading.pray they will speak the gospel boldly. 3 rd - Tuesday -Pray for the church to oppose and reject all corrupt candidates. -Pray for the church to reject and denounce all forms of vote buying and bribery. The Clergy and Deaconesses: -Ask God to heal any hurt that the Clergy has suffered in the ministry. Pray that they will serve God with gladness and encourage the congregation to worship God with a joyful and surrendered spirit. Pray that God s Spirit will work in their heart in power and that they will value and follow biblical priorities. 4 th Wednesday -Christians in our Diocese will humble themselves and pray intensely without ceasing, to protect the nation and its leaders from evil forces that threaten to take hold of our government and ruin the nation. Events & Services in the Month of April: -Diocesan Strategy Implementation Commission DSIC and the Standing Committee 5 th April. Pray for God s Guidance to be upon these committees as they plan and implement programmes for the development and growth of the Diocese. -Quiet Prayer Day 7 th April at St. Paul s PJ from 10am 4pm. -Joint Singapore/West Malaysia Dioceses Chinese Clergy Retreat - 10 th - 13 th April. 5 th - Thursday -Christians in our Diocese will see the spiritual warfare beyond the partisan politics and elections, and be equipped to be a strong prophetic voice for righteousness and justice that will prevent the nation from falling into grave sin and judgment. Diocese of West Malaysia -Praise God for the formation of the three dioceses Diocese of the Northern Peninsula, Diocese of the Central and Eastern Peninsula and Diocese of the Southern Peninsula. Pray that our Diocese, Clergy and Leaders become more surrendered and poured out to Christ, so they can have spiritual breakthroughs by seeking the fear of God and the mind of Christ and the Spirit s leading. - 2 -

.6 th Friday -Christians in our Diocese to recognize God s sovereignty over nations, and not sin through despair or fear, but be filled with peace and faith that God is in control over the affairs of our nation as we pray for breakthrough and seek to prosper our country. Mission Schools in our country -Good principals who care for the interest of the students -Christian teachers to impact the lives of their students -Students in Christian schools to be molded by Christian values 7 th Saturday Pray for Malaysia: The promise given in 2 Chronicles 7:14 is threefold: The Lord will HEAR our cry, FORGIVE our sins, and HEAL our land. If we all cry out to the Lord, He will restore our country and make us into a nation that honors Him. Let us kneel before the Lord and cry out to Him on behalf of Malaysia. He promises to hear from heaven and heal our land. Pray for those who are sick: -Pray that our body is a temple of God therefore sickness and infirmity will have to leave in the name of Jesus. -Pray for healing and strength. Pray for good health. 8 th - Sunday 2 nd Sunday of Easter The Officers of the Diocese: The Chancellor Lay Canon Andrew Khoo. The Registrar - Mr. D. Raja Singam, The Secretary - Mr. David Joseph, The Treasurer - Mr. Kingsley Yuen. The Standing Committee of the Diocese, Bishop s Chaplain Rev Fred David. Pray for their health. Pray for Godly wisdom as they plan, direct and build our Diocese for the Glory of God. Congregation: Pray for Holiness & Church Finances: Our holy God, make us to praise and pursue Your holiness. Strengthen our burden, commitment, and endurance to strive daily after holiness in our lives. Ask God to help your congregation s constituent to see every tithe and gift to the Lord is important. In that way, no one will miss out on a blessing by thinking his/her giving won t be missed. Ask the Lord to give each member the courage to accept God s challenge to test Him by giving at least a tithe (10%) of his/her income, even if it seems impossible. Thank the Lord for honoring His promise to pour out a blessing on those who give. 9 th - Monday Annunciation of our Lord to the Blessed Virgin Mary Pray for Malaysia: -Protect the poor and the marginalized -Courage to stand for what is right and to do what is good -Pray for the GE14 that God will raise godly and upright men and women to stand up for the rights of the people. Our Clergy: Father, I pray for our clergy as he prepares his messages, that You will give him just the right words and illustrations to communicate effectively to Your people. I pray that our clergy will speak the messages You give him to speak with power, with the Holy Spirit, and with deep conviction. I pray that his message will be fleshed out as he lives his life openly before Your people. Amen 10 th - Tuesday Pray for Malaysia: Voters: -Pray for God s hand to be upon all voters, for the removal of apathy and disillusionment and to take their duty as voters seriously. -Pray for God s hand upon voters in your constituency. Diocese of West Malaysia -Pray for the formation of the three dioceses -Pray for our Diocesan Bishop Ng Moon Hing and the Suffragan Bishops Charles Samuel and Jason Selvaraj as they plan and prepare towards this formation. -Pray for that God will speak clearly to them and His will be done. - 3 -

11th Wednesday Pray for Malaysia: Voters: -Pray for the eyes of voters to be opened to the corrupt and worrying state of the nation. -Pray for voters not to be afraid to reject corrupt, self seeking and arrogant candidates and parties. The Diocesan Staff: Kannagi K, Margaret Tan, Ensa, John, Keneth, Chun Peng, Soosan, Selvam and Kien Min. Praise God for these staffs in our Diocesan Office. Thank God for all of them. Pray for health, strength and blessing to be upon them.pray for their personal needs to be met. 12 th - Thursday Nation: That we would be faithful in praying for leaders and those in authority, knowing that their decisions directly affect us too. May God give them wisdom and courage as they lead our nation. May God in His mercy, appoint righteous men and women into positions of authority in our nation. (www.crosswalk.com) Children & Youth Ministries -Thank God for the Children and Youth Ministries in our churches in our Diocese. -Pray that the Word of God is taught without compromise -Pray for parents to give top priority to the spiritual development of their children to grow in the Lord 13 th - Friday Nation: -Pray for the Prime Minister Dato Sri Najib Tun Razak, Deputy Prime Minister Dato Sri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and all politicians. Uphold Constitutional rights and the freedom to worship. -The fear of God, wisdom and truth to govern their thoughts -Make wise decisions based on justice and righteousness The Church Triumphant: Thank God, for the life of all faithful people who have served God and have gone to be with the Lord. Those who have quietly served in our churches and have blessed so many people. Remember and thank God for all bishops, priests, and church workers who gave their life for the full-time ministry. Remember and pray for their family members. 14 th Saturday Pray for Malaysia: Voters: -Pray for voters to have the courage to vote for righteous and upright candidates. -Pray for voters to abhor and oppose all forms of vote buying and bribery -Pray that all voters will be able to come out to vote without obstacles or hindrances Suffragon Bishops: -Pray for our suffragan Bishops Rt. Rev. Charles Samuel and Rt. Rev. Dr. Jason Selvaraj. -Pray that they will earnestly seek God s will and be committed to instant and complete obedience ready for God to work powerfully in and through their ministries. 15 th Sunday 3 rd Sunday of Easter The Bishop of the Diocese & Archbishop of the Province of SEA -Pray for Archbishop, The Rt. Rev. Datuk Ng Moon Hing. -Pray that God will give Bishop a clear, biblical vision of what the Diocese can be and should be for His glory and that Bishop will communicate that vision clearly and confidently to the people in the Diocese. Pray for our Diocese: That God will build our Diocese and His name will be glorify. That God will keep, guard, and protect our Diocese from the evil one. That our Diocese will be beacon of light in our nation. 16 th Monday Pray for our nation: That God grant protection to the rulers That God grant wisdom and good judgment to the ministers so that peace and harmony will be enjoyed That trust among the races and religions will be restored - 4 -

The Clergy and Deaconesses: Thank God for all those serving in all the churches. Thank God for their love of God to serve in this ministry. Thank God for their love and devotion for their flock. Pray for God s protection upon them and their families. For the Holy Spirit to daily guide and lead them. For God s anointing in preaching the word of God 17 th Tuesday Pray for Malaysia: Candidates: -Pray for God s hand to be upon all contesting candidates. -Pray for God s hand to be upon candidates contesting in your constituency. Families of Clergy: -Pray for the families of all Clergy, Deaconesses and Lay Pastors. -Pray for their own spiritual lives, that they would grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ. -Pray that they would be encouraged and supported by the Diocese and Church. 18 th Wednesday Pray for Malaysia: Candidates: -Pray for corrupt and self seeking candidates to be exposed and rejected. -Pray for righteous and upright candidates to be identified and elected. Liturgies: We confess to You, Lord, all our past unfaithfulness: the pride, hypocrisy, and impatience of our lives. We confess to You, Lord. Our self-indulgent appetites and ways, and our exploitation of other people. We confess to You, Lord. Our anger at our own frustration, and our envy of those more fortunate than ourselves. We confess to You, Lord. 19 th Thursday Nation: That we would recognize God s Sovereignty over all. Prayer is important. His word reminds us that He is the One who ultimately has the power to position all those in leadership, and to remove them. His word also reminds us there is great power in prayer as we join together in unity and seek to follow after him. (www.crosswalk.com) Clergy, Deaconess, Lay Pastors, Evangelist and Workers: Thank you for the clergy who answer the call to ministry and work so hard for the good of your kingdom. We continue to pray for the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of our Clergy. We also pray for our Seminarians that they will be fully empowered by the Holy Spirit as they prepare for their ministry in our Diocese. Amen. 20 th Friday Pray for Malaysia: Candidates: -Pray for the efforts of righteous candidates to prevail over corrupt ones. -Pray for righteous candidates elected to occupy key positions in the government and nation. Our Clergy and those who minister: Pray that God would give our Clergy good health and strength. Pray that God would keep our Clergy safe as they travel. Pray that God would protect our Clergy from every harm and danger. 21 st Saturday Nation: That the powers of darkness will be completely wiped out. That the enemy will not have a foothold in our nation. That all corrupt practice, evil intentions, hypocrisy will cease Prayer of Self Dedication: -Almighty and eternal God, so draw our hearts to thee, so guide our minds, so fill our imaginations, so control our wills, that we may be wholly thine, utterly dedicated unto thee; and then use us, we pray thee, as thou wilt, and always to thy glory and the welfare of thy people; through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 22 nd Sunday 4 th Sunday of Easter Diocesan Theme: Praise God for the theme this year Releasing Talents. Pray for Rev. Matthew Chai the coordinator of this theme and his team members. Finance: -Pray that we as a church family remain faithful and good stewards. -Pray that the giving financially will grow this year in all our churches and Diocese. -Pray that each church commits to a healthy understanding, wisdom and accounting and handling of its stewardship and finances to better receive God s blessings. 23 rd Monday George, martyr, patron of England Nation: Pray that our hope would remain in the Lord God Almighty. Pray that we would recognize His great power. God alone is where our real hope is found, not in our leaders, not in the economy, not in the condition of our nation today. Rise up and pray. (www.crosswalk.com) Bishops and Clergy: - Ask for God s hand to rest upon our church Leaders that they will operate in His wisdom. -Ask God to pour His Spirit of Discernment upon them. -Pray for their health and protection. 24 th Tuesday Events & Services in the Month of May: -1 st May - Chinese Board AGM -10 th - 20 th May - Thy Kingdom Come 10 Days Intensive Prayers. -15 th - 19 th May - Klang Valley Bible Reading Project -22 nd May - Seminary Theology Malaysia AGM -29 th May - Tamil Board AGM Please pray and uphold all the above events taking place in our Diocese. 25 th Wednesday Mark the Evangelist Pray for Malaysia: Electoral Process: -Pray for the electoral process throughout the country. -Pray for the electoral process in your constituency. Diocese and Church: -Pray that our Diocese and our churches would receive God s direction and vision. -Pray that each congregation gets nourished from the substance of His word. - Pray that our Diocese and churches becomes real Disciples of Christ who are learning and growing. 26 th Thursday Pray for Malaysia: Electoral Process: -Pray for safe and free elections. Pray that no one will be denied their rights to vote either through fraud or administrative negligence. -Pray for fair elections. Pray that all contesting candidates and parties be granted equal opportunity to campaign. Prayer for the Clergy: Lord Jesus, we lift our Clergy to You. Grant them the graces they need to administer your people. Keep them pure and strong in your love; give them courage when things are difficult, and accompany them when they are lonely; strengthen them in times of weakness. Amen. 27 th Friday - Province of SEA Prayer & Fasting Pray for the World: -Pray for Workers: The harvest is plentiful But the workers are few. Pray for workers to be raised up to minister around the world. -Pray for Open Doors: Ask the Lord to open doors for the world mission endeavor to proclaim the mystery of Christ among even more people. -Pray for the Gospel to Spread and to be Honored: Our prayer should not only be for workers and open doors, but for the message to spread and find a place of honor in the hearts of people. - 6 -

Holy and Righteous Church Pray that the churches in the Province of SEA will stand out as a prophetic community, impacting society, and live out authentic and vibrant Christian lives that will be salt and light in the nation, for then only can the Church act and speak with credibility and moral authority, and be taken seriously by the nation s leaders. 28 th Saturday Pray for Malaysia: Electoral Process: -Pray for the fear of God to be upon SPR officials, that they will be diligent, firm and fair. -Pray that there will be sufficient PACA volunteers at every polling station. Clergy, Deaconesses and Lay Pastors -Lord Jesus, we lift up our Clergy, Deaconesses and Lay Pastors to You. Keep them from losing heart when the ministry gets tough. Help them prove faithful with the things You have entrusted to them. Teach them Your ways so that they know You and find favor with You. Amen. 29 th Sunday 5 th Sunday of Easter WE ARE CALLED TO PRAY Remember - the real battle is not fought against what is seen, but what is unseen. The real enemy is not a person or political party, but is Satan himself, and his dark forces that oppose God and fight against Truth. The enemy s goal is to steal, kill, and destroy, and he wants nothing more than to see us waste our energy and time just battling one another. Let s stay aware of his evil plans and stand against his attacks through the power of Christ and His Word.(www.crosswalk.com) Prayer: Gracious God, as we have freely received your love, forgiveness and grace, So help us to freely give, to be a gracious presence in your world. Make us hungry for justice, and willing to kneel with you to love and serve, in your name. Amen. 30 th Monday Prayers for those who mourn O God, who brought us to birth, and in whose arms, we die, in our grief and shock contain and comfort us; embrace us with your love, give us hope in our confusion and grace to let go into new life; through Jesus Christ. Amen. Praise God: -Father, we bless and adore You. Our King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Rock of Ages, Ancient of Days, we honor and worship You. -Thank You Father for all You have done for us in the month of April 2018. - We pray and believe that You our living God will see us through the coming days and months and years.
