Heartbeat INDIAN HILLS COMMUNITY CHURCH May 17, 2015 Welcome to Indian Hills and this worship service. We are glad you are here to praise and adore our Lord, who will one day return to earth, to rule and reign in glory over all creation. As we come into His presence, we are humbled that we have been privileged to know and believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World, that He suffered and died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. We rejoice that He is alive forevermore. He has conquered sin and death, and we will rule and reign with Him throughout eternity because of His finished work of salvation. May the Spirit work in each one as we set aside the distractions of everyday life and join together as a congregation one heart and one mind worshipping our great God and King. Staying in Touch When you re on vacation or miss a Sunday due to illness, it s easy to stay in touch with the brethren via the e-mail newsletter and e-mail prayer list. Now you can also stay in touch via the e-mail evangelism update. This e-mail is produced by Adam Flaugh each week and contains encouragement, prayer requests, visit summaries, and evangelism opportunities. You can subscribe to one, two or all three of the church e-mails and subscribing is easy. You can sign-up on the church website; stop by the south information desk; call the church, 402-483-4541; or e-mail Kathleen at kathleen.anderson@ihcc.org. He s Got the Whole World in His Hands God s plans for this world are moving along according to His divine purposes, and no unrighteous ruler can thwart Him. When news threatens to dislodge our peace or cause despair, we must remember who holds the nations in His hand. Key to Victory The key to a victorious Christian life is obedience. The Lord will faithfully supply us with instructions for each step as we follow Him. His way may not be the easiest or the most comfortable, but it is always the best. As we rely on Him, He will lead us to victory. Heartbeat 3

No subject of greater significance or importance to the child of God is revealed in Scripture than the Melchizedekian Priesthood of Jesus Christ. The Melchizedekian Priesthood involves Christ s work of redemption in offering a sacrifice that was sufficient to take care of sins forever. This work of Christ is what enables a believer to come with confidence into the presence of God. Join Gil Rugh in this study and see why everything we do as believers is based upon the work of Christ. This role of believerpriest is of utmost importance to those who have been redeemed and established as priests before God. Throughout this study, believers are encouraged to live in a way that honors the Lord, functioning as priests to God, whereby all activities are viewed as sacrifices to Him. The Melchizedekian Priesthood of Christ is a reprint of Gil s dissertation. It is free and available in the lobby book racks. Heartbeat 7
