THE VICTORY OF THE RESURRECTION

The Resurrection is A Three-Fold Victory That Involves A Mystery

I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 (NIV) 50 51 52

For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 (NIV) 53 54 55

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 (NIV) 56 57 58

The Victory of the Resurrection is Inheritance By Power I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 1 Corinthians 15:50 (NIV)

The Victory Of The Resurrection is Transformation For Eternity Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 (NIV) 51 52 53

The Victory Of The Resurrection is Transformation For Eternity This is how it will be when the dead are raised to life. When the body is buried, it is mortal; when raised, it will be immortal. When buried, it is ugly and weak; when raised, it will be beautiful and strong. 1 Corinthians 15:42-45 (GNT) 42 43

The Victory Of The Resurrection is Transformation For Eternity When buried, it is a physical body; when raised, it will be a spiritual body. There is, of course, a physical body, so there has to be a spiritual body. For the scripture says, The first man, Adam, was created a living being ; but the last Adam is the life-giving Spirit. 1 Corinthians 15:42-45 (GNT) 44 45

The Victory Of The Resurrection is Transformation For Eternity The Transformation Will Be: 1. From Perishable to Imperishable 2. From Physical to Spiritual

The Victory of The Resurrection is What Conquers Our Enemies When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 1 Corinthians 15:54-58 (NIV) 54 55 56

The Victory of The Resurrection is What Conquers Our Enemies But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:54-58 (NIV) 57 58

The Victory of The Resurrection is What Conquers Our Enemies He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces;he will remove his people s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken. Isaiah 25:8 (NIV)

The Victory of The Resurrection is What Conquers Our Enemies He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, I am making everything new! Then he said, Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true. Revelation 21:4-7 (NIV) 4 5

The Victory of The Resurrection is What Conquers Our Enemies He said to me: It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. Revelation 21:4-7 (NIV) 6 7
