STEWARDSHIP ". he said, 'Master, you gave me five talents. See, I have made five more.' His master said to him, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters I will give you great responsibilities." Matthew 25:20-21 The stewards in this parable are expected to invest their time, talents, and treasure according to their master's wishes. God expects a return on the gifts that have been given to us. This return is impossible without investing our energies for the benefit of others. Blessings and thanks to Donna Holmes who prayed for vocations last week. Sick this Week Genevieve Churchill If you are aware of a parishioner who is ill, please get their permission to have their name printed on the sick 2017 CSA - Bringing Christ to Others Our Parish Target $6,400 - Participation Goal 100% To date we have raised $1,555 toward our goal through the support of 16 households. There is still time to respond with a gift to this year s Appeal. Last year we exceeded our target goal of $6,400. We can do it again this year. Thanks to all who have given. MARRIAGE MOMENTS "When one finds a worthy wife [husband] their value is far beyond pearls [money]." (Proverbs 31:10) Although this scripture traditionally refers to wives, it works equally well for husbands. Pause for a moment and ponder the worth of your spouse. PARENTING POINTERS Even with natural talent, it takes work to develop it. Help your child identify one talent this week, and one way they can improve it. Often this includes the "P" word - Practice. (Mt 25: 14-30) All who are not receiving Holy Communion are encouraged to express in their hearts a prayerful desire for unity with the Lord Jesus and with one another.
