THE GLORIOUS GOSPEL Lesson 1: Living The Gospel Treasure Point:Paul admonishes Peter to faithfully live out the gospel and not be swayed by the opinion of men. Lesson 2: The Law and the Promise Treasure Point: In the Old Testament the righteous lived by the law. In the New Testament we live by faith in the promise of Christ. Christians are called to encourage one another and help one another resist sin and persevere to the end through the power of the Spirit. Lesson 10: Pressing On For the Prize Treasure Point: We are called to seek the prize of Christ s calling so that one day we might be like Him. Lesson 11: In Christ I can Do All Things Treasure Point: God has given us all we need in Christ to face all situations. Lesson 12: Christ is Above All Treasure Point: Jesus has made all things and all things exist for His glory Lesson 13: The New Man Treasure Point: Christ has made us into new creations. We should live according to our new nature. Lesson 3: Standing Firm Treasure Story: 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17 Treasure Point: We can stand firm in the Gospel without fearing the end of the age because God has chosen us for salvation. Lesson 4: Faithfulness in Doing Good Treasure Story: 2 Thessalonians 3:6-15 Treasure Point: We should not be idle but serve the Lord and our brothers and sisters in Christ diligently. Lesson 5: Jesus Saves Sinners Treasure Story: 1 Timothy 1:12-20 Treasure Point: No matter how sinful we are, God s grace is greater and can overcome our wickedness. Lesson 6: A Faithful Servant Treasure Story: 1 Timothy 4:6-16 Treasure Point: We have been called to serve and to set an example of godly living. Lesson 7: Fighting the Good Fight Treasure Story: 1 Timothy 6:11-21 Treasure Point: No matter how wicked the world around us becomes, we should stay the course and fight on to the end. Lesson 10: The Danger of False Teaching Treasure Story: Jude 3-16 Treasure Point: As times get worse false teachers will increase but we should only listen to those who are true to the gospel. Lesson 11: Worthy Is the Lamb Treasure Story: Revelation 5:1-14 Treasure Point: Only Jesus is worthy of praise. Only He can bring an end to suffering and restore God s peace. Lesson 12: All Things New Treasure Story: Revelation 21:1-8 Treasure Point: God will one day make all things new and restore all that has been ruined by sin. Lesson 13: Jesus Is Coming Treasure Story: Revelation 22:6-21 Treasure Point: Jesus will come back just as He said and reclaim us to be with Him forever. 5
