Once-A-Month Bible Study Tuesday November 15th 11:00 a.m. Sanctuary 6:30 p.m. Conference Room Two opportunities to join Pastor Buss and hear the Word of the Lord. Please bring your Bibles with you. Consecration Weekend November 19th 20th You are a chosen people... These words from our theme verse remind us of who we are in Jesus! He has drawn us out of darkness to live in the light of the Gospel as the family of God. God has made us holy in Christ and He has given us holy work to do in Christ. Therefore, on Consecration Weekend we will celebrate the work God has given to us. Begin praying now about your financial commitment in 2017. Look for more information in the mail coming in November. Be in worship on the weekend of November 13th when the message will help us prepare as we fill out our commitment cards. Bring your commitment cards with you on November 19th and 20th. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gifts! 2 Cor. 9:15 Legacy Ministry Who has made a spiritual impact in your life? Josh Wold. Reflections from Recruitment Director Russ Balsman Is Christian education for you? How does Immanuel compare to area schools? Are there benefits to sending a child to a Christian school? Ninety percent of Christian parents send their children to public schools. Eighty percent of those children never return to the church after graduation. If you ve ever wondered about Immanuel, here is your chance. You are invited to take a look at Christian education. We believe you may be surprised at what you find. Immanuel Lutheran School offers one of the area s best bargains with a combination of strong academics and reasonable tuition. Both Church and School work together to help parents bring up the next generation, and that generation will be prepared for tomorrow and eternity. 7th Annual 7th & 8th Grade Basketball Tournament November 19th 20th ILS will welcome Lutheran school teams from Schaumburg, Batavia, Rockford Lutheran, Rochelle, Freeport, Marengo and Oak Lawn. Help Needed! Please consider volunteering a few hours to assist with tickets or concessions. Call Mrs. Yakey or Mr. Schaefer for more info (815-547-5346). Thank you!
