Prelude Welcome Temple Talk - Todd Silliman Opening Prayer Opening Songs - Everlasting God, Power of Your Love Litany: - Psalm 23 We meet in the strong name of our God; We praise you Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen. Prayer of the Day: Lord God, we praise you as the Source of all life, the Creator and Designer of our bodies. You know how we are made. You offer Sabbath rest as a gift to us. On this holy day, we are privileged to spend time with you, to hear your Word, to worship with your people, and to rest from our labors. Teach us to r e s t in your love. And there was evening, and there was morning the sixth day. 2 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. 2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. Gospel - Mark 10:13-16 13 People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it. 16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.
