Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty Hymn # 3
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee; Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty! God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
Holy, holy, holy! all the saints adore Thee, Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea; Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee, Which wert and art, and evermore shalt be.
Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide Thee, Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see, Only Thou art holy; there is none beside Thee, Perfect in pow r, in love, and purity.
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! All Thy works shall praise Thy name, in earth, and sky, and sea; Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty! God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

THE CALL TO WORSHIP
Minister: Now Christ is risen from the dead! O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?
People: O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good: for His mercy endures for ever.
Minister: Christ is risen! People: Christ is risen! All: The Lord is risen indeed! Alleluia!
Congregational Prayer of Confession ALL: Lord, high and holy, meek and lowly, You have brought us to the valley of vision, where we live in the depths but see You in the heights.
Hemmed in by mountains of sin we behold Your glory. Let us learn that the way down is the way up, that to be low is to be high,
that the broken heart is the healed heart, that the contrite spirit is the rejoicing spirit, that the repenting soul is the victorious soul,
that to have nothing is to possess all, that to bear the cross is to wear the crown, that to give is to receive,
that the valley is the place of vision. Let us find Your light in our darkness, Your life in our death, Your joy in our sorrow, Your grace in our sin,
Your riches in our poverty, Your glory in our valley, through the grace of the resurrected Christ. Lord Jesus, hear our prayers.
SILENT PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING AND CONFESSION
Words of Assurance and Pardon of the Gospel (from Psalm 30:11-12 )
Minister: You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing Your praise and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever!

The Proclamation of Scripture
Matthew 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.
16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Minister: This is the good news of the gospel! People: Thanks Be to God!
