Page 2 From the Pastor Think about this statement, We are where our best thinking has gotten us. Let it sink in I would like to invite you to our Wednesday evening Bible study, Think Differently. It is a challenging series focused on using scripture, depending on the Holy Spirit, and changing our way of thinking. II Corinthians 10:3-6 says, For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete. Join the IBC Family in the Journey of Faith www.ibcfam.org God does not want to trim our strongholds or to limit the effects of our strongholds. The picture is a wrecking ball crashing into a tower. The ways of thinking that are keeping us in our strongholds, isolated from what God has in store for us, must be destroyed. Now if it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Most of our thinking is so deeply entrenched by the time we reach our 20 s that they don t change after that. We might change jobs, churches, or even marriages, but we won t change our thinking. Again, I hope you will come to our Bible study on Wednesday nights. It could be liberating. In Him, Bro.
