Heartfelt Concerns from servant sue Saturday, November 14, we gather as sisters-in-christ at Fountain City UMC to celebrate our faith in God, our dedication to growing in Him, and our commitment to serve Him through local and global mission work that benefits women, children and youth in a world where so many needs still exist. FEED MY LAMBS our conference logo directs. FEED MY LAMBS Our commodities list in this edition is FEEDING LAMBS at Wesley House (afterschool care and seniors) and Partners for Children (daycare center). IT IS CRUCIALLY IMPORTANT WE COLLECT OUR ASSIGNED ITEMS SO THESE MINISTRIES CAN BE ASSISTED IN MAINTAINING THEIR SERVICES TO THEIR CONSTITUTENTS. The items we collect enable these two agencies to stretch their finances for ongoing expenses (utilities, teaching materials, repairs, salaries, etc). We are being God s tools in giving these commodities. RESOURCE TABLES at our annual meeting will be located close to where you register. In addition to program resource material (limited due to low stock at Mission Resources), two more tables will have materials for you to share with your unit, as well as your opportunity to schedule a speaker for a meeting at your church! 1. Creation Care- (one of the four National UMW emphases) Saving resources and saving our world for future generations. (FEED MY FUTURE LAMBS) 2. Susannah s House- located in the former Wesley House location on Dameron Avenue is guiding young addicted mothers to commit to the Stages of Change Program, enabling these mothers to detox and commit to a life of sobriety, in a safe, non-judgmental, loving community with evidence-based services. (FEED MY LAMBS) Maternal Health and children s health (two more national UMW emphases) We are praying National UMW will undergird Susannah s House with financial support, as they have a waiting list and ultimately may need to expand into a residential program all of which requires significant funding. MAY EVERY UMW UNIT BE REPRESENTED November 14 at 10:30 as we worship together and conduct the business for the Knoxville District. IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND, CONTACT YOUR DISTRICT TEAM SHEPHERD AND ARRANGE FOR PICK UP OF YOUR COMMODITIES. (The shepherds are listed on the back side of registration form.) You are missing out on a blessing, if we don t see you! Thank you for your commitment to United Methodist Women which is truly taking to heart, FEED MY LAMBS.

2015 Fall Commodities for Partners for Children and Wesley House Please bring your assigned commodities to our Annual Meeting on Saturday, November 14 th, at Fountain City UMC. If you have been assigned snacks, please remember that we are trying to provide HEALTHY snacks and 100% fruit juice. The snacks you provided in March at our Time Apart were awesome-thank you for making the effort to buy healthy. Also, PFC has asked that if you are buying toilet paper or baby wipes, please purchase the Scott TP brand and Wal-mart brand or name-brand baby wipes. Thank you for all your efforts to help these two wonderful organizations. Please call or email Pat Bellingrath (591-6274 or patbellingrath@gmail.com) if you have any questions.
