FILLMORE PLACE For many years we have sent gifts to residents at Fillmore Place in Preston. At this time they have 5 male residents. The Missions Committee has stockings hanging in the narthex with items each individual needs. These gifts are very much appreciated. In addition to individual requests a number of miscellaneous items are needed by many of the residents: pillows, pillowcases, towels, flat-fitted sheets ( s ingle ), body wash, and deodorant. Contact Juanita Haare if you need someone to shop for you. Purchased items should be at the church by December 16. All: The choices we make, Mighty God, reveal who we are. When we choose the lies of the world, your word is not on our lips. When we choose independent and isolated lives, we do not reflect your Spirit in our actions towards others. When we choose to exalt the powerful of our day, we are unable to follow the One whose way gives us life. Forgive us, God. Do not turn your face from us, but help us to face ourselves honestly. We pray in Christ s name. Amen. Silence is kept. WORDS OF AFFIRMATION Shout for joy, children of God. The God who was and is and is to come loves you, forgives you, renews you. All: Thanks be to God. Amen.
