A disciple s mission is to Glorify God by being a lifelong, obedient disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ; Glorify God by making disciples of all nations; Join God s mission to Exalt Christ as Lord; Reconcile the world to himself; Establish his kingdom.

Christian Discipleship Christian discipleship is 1. developing a personal, lifelong, obedient relationship with Jesus Christ in which he transforms your character into Christlikeness; 2. changes your value into Kingdom values; 3. and involves you in his mission in the home, the church, and the world.

Teaching Obedience A disciple obeys. Jesus taught his disciples to obey his word. Obedience is the identifying mark of a disciple. Those who truly belong to the Father are obedient. If a person is consistently disobedient, it is a sign he/she is not a true follower of Christ.

Total obedience 完全順服 From faith to faith 本於信, 以致於信 ( 羅 Rom. 1:17) Faith is: 1. Believe 2. Trust 3. Obey The highest faith is total obedience. The lowest faith is believing in the existence of God. In between is different degrees of trust-and-obey. Trust and obey 信靠 順服 Believe 相信 10/9/2011 Warren Wang

Continuing Witness Training (CWT) 1. Cultivating friends for Christ Create opportunity by making new friends. Use crisis as stepping-stones toward a witness. Listen to what other want to talk about. Take time to pray for your lost friend. Invite lost friends to your home or church. Visit newcomers and prospects. Arousing interest by asking proper questions. Think about witnessing so that you ll be ready. Introduce spiritual matters naturally. Nurture friendship by being interested in his concerns. Go out of your way to include your lost friends in your interests.

2. Approaching a home to witness 1) Memorize the name of the prospect and related information. 2) Park on the street. Do not block the driveway. 3) Note clues to the family interests and size. 4) Ring the doorbell and step back one or two steps. 5) Smile, identify your self, and immediately state the purpose of your visit.

3. Initiating a witness conversation 1) Be friendly and pleasant. 2) Give honest, sincere compliments. 3) Accept any apology and move to another subject. 4) Ask questions that move smoothly from natural conversation to spiritual matters. Use the acrostic FIRE to keep the conversation moving toward spiritual matters.

FIRE: Family. Ask about the person s family. Interests. Ask, what do you do in your spare time? Religious background. Ask, do you go the church? Ask other questions about the person s religious background. Exploratory questions. Ask the following exploratory questions:

Exploratory questions: Do you know for certain that you have eternal life and will go to heaven when you die? Suppose you were standing before God right now and he asked you, why should I let you into my heaven? What do you think you would say? Make a transition to the gospel presentation : I have good news for you. May I share it with you? If the person decline, graciously say: I d like to share it with you sometime. It will take about 10 minutes.

Characteristics of a lost person A lost persons are spiritually dead, he 1. Does not understand spiritual things, 2. Does not seek God, 3. Does not accept the things of the Spirit, instead following the ways of the world.
