Liberty Council - Awakening On Saturday, March 5, 2016, Oralena Brazier represented TBN and the Holy Land Experience at a special Liberty Counsel event, where over 2000 attended The Awakening. This was a unique and inspirational God and Country event bringing people together around our shared values featuring more than 40 national religious and political speakers for an in-depth day of spiritual renewal and patriotism! The theme for 2016 was A New Birth of Liberty. Now is the time to take a stand and restore America's future! Along with Matt Yancy taping, Oralena interviewed several of the powerful speakers as they shared their testimonies. These interviews will be airing on TBN soon! Boykin shared about the true dangers of ISIS. Left: Oralena Brazier and Kamal Saleem. Kamal was born to a large Sunni Muslim family in the heart of the Middle East. Kamal left his family and home in the Middle East as a young man to come to the United States for the purpose of engaging in stealth or cultural jihad, converting as many Christians and Jews as possible to Islam. However, the love and sacrificial giving of Christians caused Kamal to cry out to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob acknowledging his need for the one and only Savior, Jesus Christ. Kamal is uniquely equipped with tremendous insight into today's world situation with a wealth of knowledge concerning the true culture and agenda of radical Islam.
Local Praise The Lord Production Every month, we have the priviledge of taping and airing our inspirational Praise the Lord program featuring local pastors & ministers sharing their testimonies and inspiring us in our walk with the Lord. This month was really special as we hosted Pastor Tim Johnson, senior pastor of Orlando World Outreach Center and President of the Orlando Serve Foundation. Pastor Tim is responsible for the He Got Up event happening at the Citrus Bowl on Easter Sunday, a day of celebration and service for the homeless, families and individuals in need. The TBN Holy Land Experience provided 800 rain ponchos to hand out to the homeless at the event. Dr. George Cope welcomes Pastor Tim Johnson with He Got Up to the local Praise the Lord program. Tim Johnson was a former professional football player. Host Dr. George Cope, Pastor Tim Johnson, Station Manager Oralena Brazier and Minister Darryl Strawberry. Darryl is a former baseball player, 4-time world series champion and 8-time national league All Star who is also an advisor for the He Got Up Event.
Joy In Our Town Production This month of Joy In Our Town, Lt. Robert Pelton from the Altamonte Springs Police Department discussed Public Safety and Dr. Donald Colbert from Divine Health Wellness Center discussed Health. Both programs brought lots of awesome information and will be airing on WHLV soon for our viewing audience. My Story Interviews Several pastors and leaders from the community stopped by our Orlando studios on March 9 to share their incredible TBN stories how God used TBN in their salvation & discipleship process. Happy Birthday Roberts Liardon! Roberts Liardon is one of the most respected Christian leaders of our generation. As an author, public speaker, spiritual leader, church historian, and humanitarian, he has ministered in over 125 countries. His books have been translated into more than 60 languages, and over 15 million have been sold worldwide. As a teenager, at age 13 Roberts started preaching and was inspired to begin writing and producing a book and video series entitled God s Generals, which chronicles the lives of Protestant Christian leaders. The first volume on Pentecostal and Charismatic ministers was an immediate success, and with subsequent volumes Roberts has become a recognized authority on the history of Protestant movements. We were very excited to celebrate this wonderful man of God at his 50 th birthday party where there was great networking for TBN and HLE! Hired Desilou production actress imitators Lucille & Ethel from the TV Series I Love Lucy were on hand to celebrate with us as we honored Roberts Liardon. Carman Concert in Orlando While on his S.A.V.E.D. 100% Tour, Carman stopped throughout Florida and visited Winter Haven on March 3 at First Church of the Nazarene. We were so blessed to listen to his many influential songs that have resonated with the church at large, and spend some time with him backstage. Oralena was able to meet with several pastors at the event and network on behalf of Trinity Broadcasting Network and the Holy Land Experience.
Cocoa Beach Chamber of Commerce Meeting Our station manager Oralena Brazier attended one of the chamber meetings at the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce. This meeting helps us to make great connections for TBN and the Holy Land Experience and keeps ties strong with our city of license in Cocoa, Florida. Prayer Dinner at Islesworth Golf & Country Club Our station manager, Oralena Brazier was invited to a prayer dinner at the Islesworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere, Florida to pray for media. All seven cultural mountains were represented in prayer and Congressman Daniel Webster from the 10 th district of Florida prayed for government. Congressman Webster is active in First Baptist Church of Central Florida, where he grew up and has taught Sunday School for nearly 40 years. Known for many things, Daniel Webster holds his faith, his family, and his principles as his biggest assets. It was an honor to be asked to pray for media at this event and represent TBN & HLE in this powerful way. Happy Resurrection Sunday from WHLV We thank God for what He has done for us on the cross and the hope we have through the Resurrection of Christ and we want to wish everyone in our TBN Family a very Happy Resurrection Day remembering the Savior! 1 Corinthians 15:17-22 If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. Then those also who have died in Christ have perished. If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have died. For since death came through a human being, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a human being; for as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ.
