In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful... The HOPE Bulletin... [SPECIAL INTERNATIONAL EDITION] 26 September, 2009 Editor: Akbar Abdullah CALIFORNIA JAMA AT PROJECT: APPROVED BY THE CENTRAL ANJUMAN, LAHORE Condolences on the late Brigadier Nasir Ahmad Saeed of Calgary, Alberta, Canada www.aaiil.org

Editor s Note On August 23rd, 2009, I received with a heavy heart and intense grief the sorrowful news from Brother Akthar Masud Choudry that our dear brother Brigadier Nasir Ahmad Saeed had returned to Allah in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Inna Lillahe Wa Inna Ilehi Rajeoon. My wife Parveen and I spoke to Hazrat Ameer, Dr. Pasha Sahib, who was in deep remorse and intense grief. Dr. Mohammad Ahmad, Brother Sadarud Dean Sahu Khan and I can relate to such a grief as we all lost brothers in the last year or so. After Zuhr prayer, the Janaza prayer was led by Dr. Mohammad Ahmad, President, AAIIL, USA, and thereafter, the interment took place in a Muslim cemetery in Calgary. On the day of the Janaza and interment I condoled with the Marhoom s son Waqi, his daughter-in-law Ayesha, and his brother Dr. Zahid Saeed. I first met the late Brigadier Sahib at the USA convention in 1996 and found him to be young, energetic and full of spiritual enthusiasm. Between sessions he would stop by in my hotel room and we had lively and fruitful conversation about the Jama ats in America. The next time I met him was in 2004, again at a USA convention, when Hazrat Ameer, Dr. Pasha Sahib was also there. Our hearts go out to Hazrat Ameer, Dr. Pasha Sahib, Brigadier Mohammad Saeed Sahib, Dr. Zahid Saeed, and the Marhoom s sisters in Pakistan and Canada on such a sad and personal loss. We thank those who sent their condolence letters to us for publication and to those many who telephoned or sent condolence letters directly to Hazrat Ameer, Dr. Abdul Karim Saeed Pasha Sahib. May Allah bless you and keep you all under His protection and care at all times. Aameen. We also thank Dr. Mujahid Ahmad Saeed of the UK for the photograph he has sent us of his late beloved uncle. Amir Aziz, General Secretary s announcement from the Center Dear brothers and sisters Assalamu Alikum. All members of AAIIL across the globe feel deep sorrow for the sad demise of our very dear brother, Retired Brigadier Nasir Ahmad Saeed, younger brother of Hazrat Ameer. "Surely we are for Allah and to Him we returneth." We consider it not only a loss of the deceased family but an irrecoverable loss for the whole Jammat. We pray that Allah may bless His soul and enter him in the heavens of eternity. May Allah grant him an elevated status in the hereafter. 2

We appreciate his services for the Pakistan Army and for the AAIIL. With his death the AAIIL has lost a very loyal, sincere and devoted member whose presence was a great source of encouragement for us all. We pray for members of the bereaved family that Allah may help all of them to bear this great loss with patience and perseverance. Ameen. Dr. Zahid Aziz, Editor, The Light, UK edition, United Kingdom On August 24 th, while circulating his daily Ramadan reading, Dr. Zahid Aziz dedicated the third day s reading to the memory of the late Brigadier Nasir Ahmad Saeed. He wrote: This instalment is dedicated to the memory of Brigadier Nasir Saeed, who died in Canada a few hours ago. I spent more than a month in his constant company in the summer of 1996 and found him to be a devoted Ahmadi and perfect gentleman who did so much work for Islam quietly. May Allah grant him forgiveness and protection, and admit him into His mercy to join His most righteous servants, Ameen. Sadarud Dean Sahu Khan Sahib, President, AAIIL, Sydney, Australia Assalaam aleikum. Thanks for your information. I have already written to Hazrath Ameer in the following terms: Dear Hazrath Ameer Sahib, Assalaam aleikum wa Rhamatullah wa Barakatahu. My personal and the whole of Sydney Jammat s sincere condolences on the passing away of your dear brother, Brigadier Nasir Ahmad Saeed Sahib. Inna Lillahe Wa Inna Ilehi Rajeoon. May Allah Subanatallah secure a right and deserving place for him. Aameen. May Allah Subanatallah give you and the rest of the family sabr in such trying times. It is always His decision and we cannot and are not in a position to question Him. Your dear brother s passing away is simply a manifestation of the truth of the Holy Quran in every shape and form. His passing away ought to be seen as a lesson to all of us. Your brother is fortunate that we are alive to be able to perform dua for him. Let us all hope and pray that we will also be that fortunate to have people pray for us as well. Once again please convey my sincere condolences to each and every member of your family and Jammat as they all are part of a big family. Allah Hafiz. A.S. Abdul Santoe Sahib, Central Anjuman s European Representative Dear Hazrat Ameer-e-Qaum, Assalaamo Alaikum. It is with great grief that we have learned of the sad demise of your dear brother Ret. Brig. Nasir Ahmad Saeed Sahib. INNA LILLAAHI WA INA ELAIHI RAJI'UN. Fresh is my memory of your intensive telephone contact with him during our stay in Berlin in June this year and I also had the opportunity to speak to him. Notwithstanding the precarious position of his health, 3

he was always full of hope and belief in Almighty Allah SWT. We all pray for his forgiveness and that Allah SWT bestow upon him His blessings and the choicest places in His Jinnatul Firdaus. May He also grant you and all other members of the deprived family the necessary Sabr and solace to bear this tragic loss. INNALLAAHA MA'AS SAABEREEN. (God is with those who bow down to His will.) Dear Hazrat Ameer, may I also on behalf of all members here extend to you and the whole Movement our sincere condolence with this loss. Shaukat A. Nasir Ahmad Saeed Sahib has left this world to meet with our Maker. Inna-lillahe wa inna Ilaihi rajioon. O soul that is at rest, Return to your Lord, well-pleased, well-pleasing. So enter among My servants, And enter My Garden! Although I had never met Brother Brig. Nasir sahib, I have heard a lot about him and know that he was a true soldier of Islam and Ahmadiyyat. He had worked silently behind the scene to propagate Islam and promote the cause of the Anjuman; and will no doubt be rewarded abundantly in the Hereafter. We pray that Compassionate and Merciful Allah grant his soul eternal peace and abode in the highest pedestal of Jannat-ul Firdous; among His chosen ones aameen.
