The guest, Jesus, sits down and makes Himself at home. The sister of the hostess, Mary, sits with Jesus, and listens thoughtfully. When Martha complains that she is doing all the work, Jesus tells her that she has forgotten the most important thing. She has neglected to listen to Jesus, whose words are more nourishing than any meal. Most of us are a combination of Martha and Mary. However, if our lives are Martha all the time, our lives may be out of balance. I can think of no one, who at the time of death, says, I wish I had spent more time at the office. This week, spend some time reflecting on your own life style. Is there something you can change in order to make more time for Jesus? Discern how you can be more like Mary. Determine concrete ways you can make time to listen to your family, friends and most importantly, Jesus. Building Fund plans are underway for our new Family Life Center.
