Briarwood s Global Ministries Conference opens this week! Allow me to give you a peek into some of the amazing opportunities we have as a church to hear from our missionaries during the week. This Fri., Feb. 23 Sun., Feb. 25 our college ministry is hosting a College Missions Conference in The Barn for university-aged students. They will have the opportunity to hear challenging teaching from keynote speaker Andy Cheely, as well as other Briarwood missionaries. Please pray as our students are challenged with the calling to serve Christ with their lives in cross-cultural mission. You will not want to miss this Sunday morning, as we kickoff our morning worship services with the procession of flags from the many nations where we have missionaries serving, as well as the introduction of 30 of our missionaries who are with us this week. Dr. Sandy Willson will preach from God s Word on our conference theme, Until He Returns, at our regular Sunday morning 8:00 a.m. and 10:55 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. evening services. On Monday and Tuesday, we will begin with a fellowship dinner at 5:15 p.m. followed by worship services at 6:30 p.m. where Sandy will be preaching. The evening services will be followed by our missionaries sharing at Global Glimpses. Our Children s Ministry has special missions events planned for ages K4 and K5 called mini-glow. And the GLOW Children s Missions Conference for 1st through 6th grades is sure to grow your children s hearts for missions as they hear stories from our missionaries serving in Cuba, Hungary, Swaziland and our ministry to internationals. Wednesday night we will have two Global Glimpse sessions after dinner, along with GLOW and mini-glow. Our Raiders and BYG students are encouraged to participate with the larger congregation. May God use this conference at Briarwood to lead us to faithfully serve Until He Returns! Bryan Wintersteen Global Missions Pastor
