Prayer Teams There is power in prayer! The Bible tells us in Phillipians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Prayer is an extremely important tool that God has given us to talk directly to him. Come pray with us at Sun View. Men s and Women s groups meet weekly for a time of prayer. Amen. Our Outreach Ministry was established to fulfill the great commission as outlined by Jesus and to model his concern for people. We have Outreach opportunities available on Monday night and Saturday morning which consist of inviting people to church, visiting guests and soul winning in our community. Soul Winning is the opportunity to go and share God s plan of

salvation. We have found that many people would like to share the gospel with others, whether it be with friends, family members, co-workers, or a total stranger, but have never been taught. Most participants in the Outreach ministries learned how to share the gospel here at Sun View. We have periodic classes throughout the year that will teach you to take someone through the Bible and show them how to know for sure they will go to heaven when they die. Many current members of Sun View were reached through the Outreach team. Everyone is welcome and we will partner you with someone each week. For more information about participating on one of our teams, please contact the Church Office. Saturday Soul Winning - 10am Meet at Church Campus Monday Visitation - 6pm Church Office Tuesday Visitation - 6pm Church Office Music Ministry Worship Is The Act Of Loving And Responding To God! Collosians 3:16 tell us Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. It is our desire to give thanks to the Lord because of His righteousness and sing praise unto His name. Words of praise and worship fill the Scriptures, and it is our responsibility and privilege to worship the Lord through song. Music is a critical part of our worship services as it prepares the heart to hear the Word of God. You will enjoy our talented choir, quartets, trios, soloists and instrumentalists. Our musicians are from all walks of life who join together for the purpose of giving glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Nate Jones has been serving in our Music Ministry since 2005 and has been our Music Director since 2009. Nate is a gifted musician who the Lord has greatly blessed with a passion for maintaining a Christ centered focus in the music that is selected and presented in worship. For more information about participating in our music program, please call the church office or see Nate Jones. Setup/Take Down Teams Our campus is located at Valley Intermediate School and is a normal school throughout the week, but transforms into a house of God each Sunday and Wednesday. There are many activities that you and your family can assist with during the setup and take down process. Opportunities are available for all ages and include arranging ministry tables, setting up classrooms, putting out chairs, setting up and sanitizing our nursery, wiring our sound system and setting out hymn books. Setup takes place on Saturdays at 9am and Wednesdays at 6pm. Take down is immediately following our evening services. Setup takes approximately one hour and take down approximately 30 minutes. First Impressions Team (FIT team) The FIT team is a brand new ministry to our church, and is a great ministry for really any adult to get involved in. The FIT team is made up of strategically placed parking lot attendance, hosts, and greeters ready to welcome all that come to our Sunday morning service. This team is targeting guests that would visit our church for the very first time to guide them through the building and into the auditorium. This process is designed to make everyone s visit a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Usher Team Ushers play a vital role during each of our services. Ushers greet guests, collect visitor cards and ensure people feel welcome while at Sun View. Ushers also take up the offering and pass out Lord s Supper.

Nursery Teams Volunteers assist during our Bible studies and services on Sunday and Wednesday in caring for the babies of Sun View. All nursery workers are background screened before working. We believe that the Word of God is preeminent at Sun View so we operate a rotating schedule to allow you to participate in the majority of our worship services. Most volunteers work only once or twice a month. All sermons are recorded to allow you to listen later. Transportation Ministry Come ride along with one of our drivers on the van/shuttle ministry and pickup men, women and children throughout our community and bring them to church. Our workers establish new friendships in Christ with those riding with us each week. Sound and Media Setup and operate sound and video equipment for all of our services. We operate a state of the art digital sound system that is setup and taken down from scratch each day. Sound setup meets Saturday at 9am and Wednesdays at 6pm. Special Event Teams Periodically throughout the year we have food/fellowship days and host specialized conferences with guest speakers. Setup and take down teams are organized specifically for these functions and are available for men, women and youth.

Student Ministry Team The Sun View Student ministry is made up of teens who come together to spend time with others who love the Lord and who want to grow their faith in a fun and meaningful way. Teens can attend Sunday school classes, Sunday morning and evening services, and Wednesday night teen church. Sun View also offers many additional ways to get involved from social outings and youth retreats to service activities and weekly outreach programs. Our goals are to: -Love youth where they are -Encourage youth in developing their relationship to God -Provide opportunities for nurturing and growth -Challenge them to respond to God s call to serve in their communities and the world If you are a young person looking to get to know God better, make some new friends, serve others and have fun doing so, then the student ministry is just for you. Please join us at Sun View- bring a friend and an open heart! Through prayer, planning, chaperoning, organizing, and hosting, they work hard to ensure that the youth of Sun View have a place they can call home.
