The flowers are offered to the glory of God anonymously in honor and appreciation of George and Diane Bartulevicz. Gathering Preparation for Worship Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long. Prelude Thanks Be to Thee G. F. Handel Call to Worship Listen for the voice of the Good Shepherd! God, help us to hear the Shepherd s voice and follow him. Refuse to listen to the hireling or the wolf! Hirelings don t care, and wolves snatch and scatter. Refuse to follow bandits and thieves! The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy, but Jesus came to give us an abundant life! Listen for the voice of the Good Shepherd! Let us worship God. Hymn 32 I Sing the Mighty Power of God Ellacombe Prayer of Confession (silently, then said together) Good Shepherd, we take your care for granted. In the midst of your many blessings, we complain of not having enough. In the presence of danger, we fail to trust your abiding love. When you set a table before us, we turn aside from you. Call us back into your care and help us trust your caring presence, that our actions may proclaim your truth. Amen. Assurance of Pardon Friends, believe the good news of the Gospel! In Jesus Christ we are forgiven! The Gloria Patri Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Passing the Peace Greet those around you with, The peace of Christ be with you. Bach (11:00) O Love That Will Not Let Me Go Jason McCoy O Love that will not let me go, I rest my weary soul in thee; I give thee back the life I owe, That in thine ocean depths its flow may richer, fuller be. O Light that follewest all my way, I yield my flickering torch to thee; my heart restores its borrowed ray, That in thy sunshine s blaze its day may brighter, fairer be. O Joy that seekest me through pain, I cannot close my heart to thee; I trace the rainbow through the rain, And feel the promise is not vain, that morn shall tearless be. O Cross that liftest up my head, I dare not ask to fly from thee; I lay in dust life s glory dead, And from the ground there blossoms red, life that shall endless be. Invitation to the Table Prayer of Thanksgiving The Lord be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give our thanks and praise.
