Preface Author s Note: My name of course is Juliette Williams (JW), and my mom s name is Julie Williams (Dr. J). Yes, you re right, Dr. Julie Williams is my mom; ta-daa! This book started as a class project. I d signed up for a class in Journalism and we were given an assignment. I told my mom I d love to use her as my interview guest of honor as long as she forgot that I m her daughter, made no assumptions and remained as objective as possible, while I d forget she s my mom and bombard her with scrutinizing questions and try to catch her fumble like a crooked politician. I told her to pick a topic for the interview and she said Religion. What? I sneered. Ya, Religion. Do you have a problem with that? Why Religion? cause I agree with Lucie Goodman that Religion is a Fraud. Who s Lucie Goodman? Never mind. We had about 80% fun; the other 20% had to do with mom s pain while going down the memory lane of her childhood, in addition to lamenting the deplorable amount of misery in the world today. But I saw a completely different side to mom that made me wonder if I truly knew her, if she s the same woman I d shared a roof with all my life. I know mom kind of acts crazy sometimes, but to find out that she also thinks crazy most of the time was mind-blowing. Prior to this time I d never heard words or names like Illuminati or Lucie Goodman, but my interview with mom was quite revealing, very informative, and incredibly educative.
