New Hope seeks a ministry team which can help make lifelong disciples of Jesus (full time). Requirements: A love for God, children, and a passion to help make them disciples of Jesus through teaching, activities, and overseeing volunteers who would assist. Experience in planning and implementing programs and projects. Education in the area of elementary education or similar desired. Primary Duties Teach in our Sunday Morning Kid s Church at least twice a month, and organize volunteers to lead Kid s Church on other weeks. Be willing to place membership and attend Sunday worship services at New Hope Christian Church. Recruit and train volunteers for all Sunday morning programs from nursery through middle school. Oversee scheduling of volunteers for Sunday programs. Check setup of the nursery areas before Sunday to ensure cleanliness and supplies are present. Coordinate purchases of supplies with Administrative Assistant. Recruit volunteers to run the nursery and develop a rotating schedule of support. Develop relationships with the parents of the children to support the family s primary role in their children s discipleship. Recruit and organize volunteers for Vacation Bible School and other activities on weeknights. Be creative in working to grow God s kingdom in the community through the children s ministry. Select effective curriculum or develop curriculum that meets the needs of each age level. Develop an annual budget proposal and manage this budget with good stewardship. Attend weekly staff meetings with the Senior Minister and Administrative Assistant. Attend leadership meetings with the Elders and Senior Minister on a scheduled appointment arrangement. Ensure programs and activities are in line with the vision of New Hope Christian Church. Coordinate with fellow staff. Submit a monthly calendar of activities for New Hope Christian Church s monthly newsletter. Take ownership of the Children s ministry rooms. Plan and coordinate room improvements with the church leadership. Maintain supplies for the rooms. Participate in church camp planning for the children.
